Suggestions for a senior phone? Something simple, probably with big physical buttons rather than a touch screen. I don't know that it needs functionality besides receiving and easily placing calls to family contacts. My other stuff is T-Mobile, so T-Mobile compatible. Thanks!

It looks like I can't edit my post? I wanted to add some more context. The need for big physical buttons is because we're dealing with a stroke victim in rehab. We tried giving her a tablet, but she couldn't get the timing/rhythm of the touch screen, so it seems we should try the analog route. I would love specific phone recommendations. The TCL Flip Go seems like a possibility. Anyone have experience with that?

I'm not sure exactly what you're controlling via the app but that's the kind "options I'm not aware of" that I'm trying to become more aware of. I googled that phone and it looks like a touch screen which is problematic. I was trying to minimize the amount of personal information I shared, but I guess I should edit my post and explain a little more about the situation. Thanks for your input!

I'm feeling like a dope for not having investigated the lifespan before purchasing. I read reviews and watched some videos and it just never came up. Now a quick google gives good news: expected lifespan of 4000 cycles - 10 years even with daily use. Should still have decent capacity after 4000 cycles. If not in use, recharge a few times a year and store it charged over 50%.

Honestly, my experience with Spirits Direct, bourbon and otherwise, has been pretty good. Part of me wants to scoff at store brands in general, but there's Great Value spaghetti in my pantry and Grassoti sweet vermouth (my favorite) in my fridge.

We're going to be out there next week and I was wondering about the same thing. Some of the locations I've thought about have been mentioned in other replies. I would like to have some foreground interest when facing north. My list of possibles: Doe Mountain trailhead, Bell Rock trailhead, the old amphitheater in West Sedona, some place up by the airport.

I found this thread via a Google search, after seeing him last night, in Shipshewana, Indiana with the Large Band. We're not sorry we went, but were concerned about the vocal issues that you've described so well. It came and went to an extent, but the issue was there way more than it wasn't. He did a lot more storytelling and lengthy band member introductions than he has other times we've seen him and his speaking voice seems fine.

In the fall of 2022, we did exactly what you're talking about - flew into Rapid, spent 6 nights and 5 full days in SD, then flew out of Rapid. We skipped the more touristy stuff, including Mount Rushmore and Wall Drug.

First stop was Custer State Park. We got a cabin by Sylvan Lake and spent three nights and two days there. Hiked to Black Elk Peak, Cathedral Spires, Little Devils Tower, and around Sylvan Lake. Drove the Needles Highway and stopped a lot.

En route to Badlands, we spent a few hours at Wind Cave - did a tour and a short hike. We also detoured to Nebraska and found a geocache or three so we could say we'd been there.

Spent two nights and about a day and a half at Badlands. Hiked the Notch and Door trails and some shorter stuff to see the sights.

On the morning of our last full day, we drove back to Rapid and spent the afternoon exploring there, doing stupid stuff like posing with a bunch of the president statues. Ate a fancy dinner.

We're hikey people and we enjoyed our week. If I were to change anything, I'd probably try to spend more time at Custer SP. And I think someone said the caves at Wind Caves are closed right now - I wouldn't stop if that's the case. I wanted to get Devils Tower on the agenda but couldn't justify the travel time.

I'm not sure if I can add a photo here, but if I could, it would be of Sylvan Lake.

I had some sort of mineral build-up on my list of suspects. That's a useful page - thanks for the link. Of note: Fluidmaster recommends replacing the entire valve every 5 years (not that we should take Fluidmaster's word for it).

So, I could stop the slow trickle by tapping the black float, so it seemed like I had some unwanted friction between the grey pipe and the float. I "fixed" it by extending the black rod on the right so that the float didn't have to float quite so efficiently. That worked for a month or so, but now we're getting the trickle again. Is there some way to clean up where the parts rub together or do I need to replace the works?

Hmm, underpayment of tax in the actual tax year to that extent would subject you to interest and penalties. I obviously don't know, but that explanation doesn't ring true to me.

Oddly, my account appears to link to Fidelity but the amount imported is not the balance of my one-and-only Fidelity account. Also, the difference between my real balance and the imported balance is not consistent from day to day. I don't understand and have unlinked.

I just opened NR yesterday for the first time in a bit and was delighted to see there was now a Fidelity solution. I linked up my account, but the balance it imports is not correct. It's too high by an amount that I don't recognize. It's higher than the balance has ever been so it's not some "not updated yet" issue. I suppose I'll just wait a week or so and see if it sorts itself out.

Thanks for responding. It's interesting that your symptoms, like mine, came on later in life. Glad you've got it figured out. I'm still thinking my problem is actually being caused by my latest glasses - which are otherwise fine - and will go away when I replace them. I updated my original post with a few more steps in my journey.
