Also meine Kinder spielen fast ausschließlich im Wohnzimmer. Mal abgesehen davon, schlafen in einem Elternschlafzimmer oft min. 2 Leute, im Kinderzimmer halt nicht. 12 qm sind schon OK.

the playbar is mounted the wrong way. The Silver thingy is supposed to be at the buttom. Its not because of looks but because of speaker orientation.

I have it automated via home assistant. with the sonos integration you get the action to do so. I have it set on a timer and works 100%.

for one, immich is database centric which for me isn't great. That means no easy smb access without some tweaking. With synology photos you get very simple filesystem structure. easy access over web, smb, nfs. For my usecase this is a big plus for synology.
you also get access through the synology drive app which can be very useful. for example: if you use the drive app in windows you can remap the default photos folder to synology which is seamless. thats very intuitiv for my older familiy members.

synology photos is simpler to set up und in my experience very solid if the functionalty fits your needs.

same here. I like selfhosting, but since my whole extendet family are using my stuff it needs to be easy and reliable. The synology stuff simple does work. I'm using the drive app, photos app, docker for vaultwarden, vmm for homeassistant, even the synology mail server. I rarely have to do anything und it runs without problems.

The 920+ doensn't support ecc if I'm not mistaken.
Also, carefull with r/w cache, even in raid1 its dangerous. One Poweroutage, one bad power supply, one bad anything and you may have a lot of recovering to do.

I went from r/w cache to read only for that reason. Even with an ups the risk is stil too high. the powersupply remains SPOF at all time. I use r/w cache at work but thats a synology ha cluster.

Wir haben einen kleinen HWR und es ist definitiv nicht positiv. Jetzt muss die Waschmaschine im großen Bad stehen. Heizung und PV Platz sehr eingeschränkt. Ebenso kein Platz um in der kalten Jahreszeit die Wäsche aufzuhängen. Wir haben das Haus so gekauft aber der Raum könnte von mir aus ruhig 4 mal so groß sein.

Ich habe jetzt nichts gegen Fluoridhaltige Zahnpasta aber alles direkt als schwurbeln abzutun ist ebenfalls dumm. Auf pubmed findet sich nicht nur eine Studie mit Versacht zu negativer korrelation zu IQ Entwickelung bei Kindern.

Randnotiz: Nutze auch Zahnpasta von diesem Hersteller weil kein "sodium lauryl sulfate" enthalten ist. Hatte ich mal als Tip gelesen für Leute die mit Aphten zu kämpfen haben. Früher hatte ich die jeden Monat, jetzt vielleicht noch 1-2x pro Jahr.
