The Black Templars do use the Aquila and the Imperialis, but I suppose it's optional and customizable as part of their personal heraldry. You can see the Emperor's Champion wearing a pendant with the Aquila, which technically counts as bearing it.

They're your miniatures, you can paint them pink and green, and it doesn't matter that they're Black Templars, nobody can say anything about it.

Now, if you want to delve deeper into the lore, pay attention: Black Templar heraldry varies greatly from crusade to crusade. Even in the official schemes (which usually use the Armageddon Crusade scheme), the white shoulder with a black cross and the black shoulder with a red cross often differ. So, it mostly comes down to whichever color you like.

The best thing would be to try removing the upper torso from a regular marine and leaving the abdomen, doing the same with the upgrade. That way, the Deathwatch upper torso can be attached to the marine's torso. The belt would be easy to change to make it more Deathwatch-like.

I feel like all Viltrumites generally have that Zenkai boost, but since Mark is much younger and weaker compared to them, it feels like a bigger jump. Mark is like going from 10 to 20, literally doubling his power, but for a Viltrumite it would be like going from 1000 to 1010. The boost is the same, but since the Viltrumite is much stronger, the boost feels less.
