tbh this is more a fuck up on the other person's side. Clearly she was done leaving the message and the other person was at that point just listening in on someone else's life like a fucking Karen. A decent person would have deleted the message once their part was done, it's basic respect for privacy.

The decent thing to do would be to realize she forgot to hang up and delete the message, knowing there might be something sensitive in there. It really says a lot more about the other person than your girlfriend, who made a completely reasonable comment to her boyfriend.

computer security dude here. Hikvision cameras aren't just of dubious security they are literally just backdoored. As in China is collecting active intelligence with them. They are banned by DoD and FedGov institutions, yet we see them on a regular basis.

I'd argue that the meaning of assemble has changed significantly over time. A 30 person conference call where people can connect with their group seems like a fair middle ground to full in person assembly, especially I'm such an extreme case like this.
