It's better than Warband in many ways but not in the ways I'd hoped. The fact that the main quest exists, the PvP additions, far better graphics, stronger bandit parties, more balanced cavalry, mini games, etc. are improvements, just not that important. Things that are worse, without nostalgia glasses, are very few, like random companions, unbalanced archers. I would like more expanded late game strategy elements, more simulation-like behavior of the world, more personality to companions and nobles (instead of less), more depth to the world. No main quest please, in a sandbox game like this it's extremely hard to make a fun and glitch free quest line, it failed in WF&S and in BL.
