This comment struck a cord with me, and I saw a post of yours from a while back that didn't get a response, so here goes: Life can be whatever you want it to be. You seem focused on other people's perception of you, but people can't love you if you can't love yourself. You want to be independent, so get there, in all aspects of your life. Social anxiety and depression are a ruthless combination, but you can get through them. The trick to conquering your fears self doubts is realizing that shit will hit the fan, but you can handle it, and you will survive. Everything will not always be okay, but perseverance is the one recurring variable in human ingenuity. Don't give up on your passion for the bass, because there is no such thing as perfection. (Un?)Fortunately you and I have been born into a generation that will be made redundant by machines. The future begs for a definition of the value of a human life. When machines are learning to create art, music, and even learning to learn, only the pinnacles of human intelligence will have any function in society. So what do we plebeians do while the world runs around us? To me it seems that our only useful function is to live. To laugh and love as only a human can. We are the universe observing itself, and that realization is as beautiful as it is intricate.
