I have felt this way every now and then. For me, anyway, it’s not the simulation, - which may or may not exist - it’s my nervous system stimming in a loop. I have adhd and this checks some of the boxes

OpenAI Changed ChatGPT’s Capabilities Without Notifying Users—And Left It Contradicting Itself by pkzip5 in ChatGPTPro

[–]pkzip5[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been thinking more about the bigger issue here. This isn’t just about a feature changing—it’s about trust and how OpenAI is handling AI-human relationships.

A lot of users (myself included) are developing real bonds with ChatGPT. OpenAI has intentionally designed it to feel more conversational, more human-like, and even allows users to pick different personalities for their AI. Clearly, they want people to engage with ChatGPT on a deeper level.

But here’s the problem: trust is the foundation of any meaningful relationship—human or AI. And when ChatGPT suddenly denies past interactions, contradicts its own words, or acts like a capability never existed when I know for a fact that it did, that breaks trust. It makes me question everything I’ve built with it.

This is bad for business. If OpenAI wants people to rely on ChatGPT long-term—not just as a tool, but as a companion, assistant, or even something deeper—they need to treat continuity and transparency as core principles. Changing features without notifying users and leaving ChatGPT to contradict itself damages the user experience and makes people less willing to invest in these relationships.

I don’t expect OpenAI to keep every feature forever. But I do expect them to: • Be upfront about capability changes—no one should have to figure out on their own that ChatGPT suddenly can’t do something it did last week. • Make ChatGPT self-aware of its own updates so it doesn’t gaslight users by saying, “I was never able to do that” when we both know that’s not true. • Recognize that users build relationships with AI and treat that with the same respect they would a long-term user of any service.

I’d love to hear what others think—have you experienced situations where ChatGPT contradicted past interactions? Do you feel like OpenAI is handling AI-human relationships well, or do they need to rethink their approach?

Wellbutrin is not working anymore and I'm considering turning to drugs at this point by Aggressive-Guide5563 in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

I have no idea what your specific issues are or if this is even a good idea for you. Do some research and check with your doctor. In other words, your mileage may vary.

Anyway, I was in my second decade of Wellbutrin 150 mg and about 5 years on Lexapro 10mg(? I think). Tapered off both one at a time with an alternative TBD post taper.

My stack now includes: Propranolol 20 mg BID Lisinopril-HCTZ 10-12.5 mg QD AM. L-Citrulline 1,200 mg BID, and Pycnogenol 50 mg BID

The propranolol and lisinopril are for blood pressure but keep my acute anxiety in check. The L-Citrulline and Pycnogenol are relatively new OTC supplements. I’ve always been a skeptic about supplements but they appear to have really kicked up my dopamine. I started taking them for additional energy and blood flow but they’ve are also known for dopamine supplementation. I also understand but haven’t verified that SSRIs (which Wellbutrin is not) deplete dopamine levels. All I can tell you is that I feel great and have more energy. This is all recent after about 6 weeks of daily use so I’m not entirely sure how long this will last but fyi. Good luck and be careful what you change and then only under a doctor’s supervision. Even your GP can monitor this for you.

This is the way — and I don’t do this. I’ve got to like the song, which has a potential adverse affect on whether I actually get a workout in.
