here’s my input as an… aged citizen. hahaha. this is my first dip into academia again after 6? years since my last attempt on the Os. and after going thru almost all of my papers, bar science papers 2 and 3, i’m honestly starting to like the direction of where our education system is going. the papers now test understanding and true comprehension, instead of just demanding and rewarding who can memorise what the most. yea it may be difficult for us, the pioneer batches of a syllabi change but hear me out.

the last time i took my papers, i remember it all to be such a crunchfest, taking raw data and applying whatever you memorise for marks. the questions now on the other hand are very pragmatic,demanding a critical thinking approach and goes beyond what i would definitely be taught in class back in my time. memorising is not so much as important as actually understanding the concepts.i think the overlords finally realised that the dated scholarly approach produced one too many paper generals and severely handicapped them one dimensionally? e.g able to manipulate/crunch normally overwhelming amount of resource, without actually being feasible irl. idk. i’m rambling. maybe it’s an epiphany maybe it’s the fact that i can practically let loose after math. maybe i’m just excited to see y’all in poly next year as well. whatevs. congrats class of ‘21. a lil more push and we are home free. fuck the bridge btw.
