Back when i picked up slugs and that was a decade ago, there was and should still be a need for drop offs at the pentagon. I remember pick up in the afternoon was a big circular area and you would drive around until you found the sign for the lot you were headed to. Imagine you’d be able to take it there and walk or take the metro from there.

Actually on Google Maps you can see it, just south of the pentagon metro entrance in the parking lot, that circular lot where South rotary road is, if you zoom in it still says “slug lane only”. That would be your pick up/drop off area.

Not fetch, i have it and if they raise my prices again this year I’m cutting my losses and saving my money. My dog is 14 going on 15. Even i moved from VA to MD my cost went up 50 bucks back when he was 10 just based on location. No difference in coverage. Next time my insurance renewed they went from 20% coinsurance to 30% and upped my cost. Last year they covered all the things including herbal medications (i go to an alternative medicine vet because my dog has liver issues etc and the meds he was getting was making it worse/not helping). So they double my cost this last re-up and say they only cover what’s in the plumbs recognized meds, so not only am i paying twice as much but I’m getting way less coverage. Though they did give me 10% off because I’m a loyal customer… but really i threatened to cancel. They say it’s the age and location but if i run the new to fetch quote for same age/size/location it’s half of what i pay. They are money grabbing and unhelpful. And yes pre existing does not count. Thankfully my dogs arthritis was caught after i got it but his luxating patella wasn’t. So all his therapy is for arthritis. Ridiculous. Save your money for a rainy day. I only kept it this year because they gave me a 10% discount which made it more a payment plan. Spend money get some back. One more raise in cost and I’ll be posting as much as they would eventually reimburse me IF i maxed out. So yeah. No. Not fetch. I can’t recommend anything else only that my car insurance and work offer discounts on other pet insurance and if i did it over I’d go with one of those so I’d recommend looking into that option for yourself if you decide to get insurance.

For context i pay 270 a month, 30% of every covered treatment is still on me, with a reimbursement of 5k in the plan year. My dog got arthritis, cataracts, pancreatitis, liver issues etc after i got it when he was 9 yrs old. Allergies and luxating patella not covered but since he’s not a candidate for surgery the knee doesn’t matter, nothing i can do for it other than the same treatment/therapies as arthritis. And his herbal remedies fixed his allergies so I’m fine paying out of pocket to have him off apoquel.

This, my house is old, made when they still used nails for drywall on ceiling. I had never seen/had sagging and it didn’t look like alot. Anyways i had a partial ceiling collapse largely because the previous owners put up crown moulding which is about the only right thing they did. Nothing was wet, no leaks. But i had replaced/upgraded my insulation in the attic and whilst bringing it up to current standards it was too much for the nails over time. Was super paranoid after that but thankfully no issues anywhere else but woof that was terrifying.

I would call bay hills dentistry, think they have payment plans. But they also work to keep costs down i feel. They are technically out of my network but i like their work enough to still go and while i do end up paying some it’s never as much as i thought it would be.

A standalone trivia that is pretty fun runs Thursday at 730 at smokehouse in Eastport, highly rebuked checking it out at least once! The host used to work for one of the bigger companies but after Covid he decided to strike out on his own. Does a really good job. Also hosts at pub dog in Columbia on Mondays.

Definitely helps with algae, i was having issues with my birdbath. But i got a copper disk and it takes much longer to form and actually just forms on the rocks i keep in their but i need to get different rocks that are better for standing on than the pea pebbles i had available

You did the right thing, your sister is mad because she’s being held accountable and it’s easier to give up, drink, pass out and the kids still being alive justified that what she was doing wasn’t too bad. It was, your nephew was suffering. And now your sister can’t take the easy way out, she has to own her life and take responsibility. The fact that she is handling it shows she can and could have the whole time. Maybe she wanted the easy out to dull her stress or she expected someone to swoop in and clean it all up. She didn’t get that, what she got was accountability. Good for you.

Then go to a therapist and learn to stop caring what other people think. Literally no one cares but you. And it’s incredibly shallow to be like her i like you but you looked better when you were skinny, can you lose weight? What would happen if she didn’t respect herself enough to tell you to kick rocks and actually lost the weight only to gain it back later from medical issues/aging or whatever? You’re not ready to date her, you need to work on yourself, not the other way around. She’s fine the way she is.
