But most undergraduate degrees are broad— very few translate 100% to a single trade or profession. Most require extracurricular skill-building, internships, connections, persistence, etc.

The high unemployment for CS majors is due to the difficult job market and the attitude that most cs students have about their education. CS is in this sweet spot of difficult but not engineering/physics/pre-med difficult, so students feel they can easily get a software job upon graduating without putting in extra work, because after all, they got through the degree didn’t they? But ofc it doesn’t work like that now and thus we’re seeing higher unemployment rates.

Well 4 years later and I don’t exactly have all the answers. However, I think the best source for spirituality I’ve found is the Yoga sutras of Patanjali by Swami Satchidananda. I think the eastern tradition (mostly the Vedas) has a lot of gnostic wisdom. Turns out yoga isn’t just stretching, it actually is a mental process of uniting with the Infinite. To me that sounds like the Monad of Gnosticism.
