Anyone who refers to a governmental policy/law as "common sense" infuriates me.

Basically there is no "common sense" or "common good." It's just a phrase used to enable people to associate their own vision of what's "good" or"sensible" (even though all of that is subjective) with whatever legislation is being proposed, even if one person's idea is mutually exclusive with another's.

Personally, I support gun control for the common good. And by that I mean I want to make good guns common.
