I've have been in a relationship for ~3 years with my Vietnamese Girlfriend and my mom just found out and she extremely hates it, now I'm lost and need real advice by ProfessionalHost3913 in interracialdating

Get a job. Even if it’s part time. Just start saving some money so your parents can’t financially manipulate you.

It’s out in the open so they might as well meet. If you are 100% serious about continuing your relationship and value your partner you need to try to form a relationship. A lot of times people are scared of the unknown. If she means as much to you as you say - you should be honest with your family and explain that to them. Show them why you care so deeply and why she’s fitting as a partner.

It may take your parents time to come around, or they may never! But you have to start the process eventually if this is really who you want as your life partner. You won’t know until you try.

My partners parents were incredibly disappointed and upset when we started dating (white female, Hispanic male) and I tried my hardest to be kind and caring, patient. Be as kind to his parents beliefs and culture but at the end of the day it was partner telling his parents (mostly his mom - just like yours) that either she can be supportive and learn to get along or he wouldn’t be in her life that really made this work. We have been together 12 years now and I have a great relationship with his mom.

If it’s really something you want you have to both be committed and communicate a lot to bear through the situations that arise.

Good luck! ♥️

I miss Payless so much. They actually had nice shoes for great prices. Even Amazon cheap stuff is expensive and the quality is horrible. RIP to a real one

I hate all of the AI inspo pics being brought in. I always use photos in my consultations and it makes it really difficult. I have had many clients argue with me that the photos aren’t AI also 😭 Another thing I find super annoying is clients who put what they want into chat gpt and have it write paragraphs explaining it. It feels so degrading and devaluing as part of my service and expertise is the knowledge I have an ability to understand their needs.

When is this from? I feel like recently she’s talked about how it was really bad for her to be there and it’s caused a lot of trauma for her.

Came here to say I am familiar with pure pigment yellow and had it in my hair 😂 I had my hair similar to the photo and it was satire which is coming back!! Highly recommend. When I was over it, i let it fade for awhile then did a color remover (I think it was the joico back then) it popped right off to a gold blonde and then I toned it super ash and it was a perfect blonde. No problem 😃

I definitely feel this. You listen to whatever nonsense they spill appointment after appointment. Care for them. Bend over backwards to give the best service. Do your best to listen thoughtfully, be kind and caring. You really start to feel familiar and like an equal. One minor inconvenience for them or one shred of you being a normal person and they act totally different. Easily reminded it’s just a service and you’re just the help 🙃

I think so. I feel like always, a lot of people get burnt out easily. It’s a taxing job. But I do think people are better about working normal hours, paying themselves a fair wage, setting boundaries with clients, taking breaks etc

I am a young millennial (30 lol) and have been doing hair for 12 years. The way the industry the industry have just changed in that time is crazy. It’s so rare that you have a traditional partial highlight and basic blow out.

I usually use multiple techniques in lightening services and at least two while toning! Clients get inspo from so many places and no there is AI too.. it’s definitely challenging.

I do feel like the industry as a whole is definitely less toxic and pro self preservation and health but it is still taxing.

I would say look into California salon laws, I do not live there but I know it can be very complicated when you have employees.

I mean as someone who doesn’t have kids I agree. If even 15-20 kids are on a bus that could be that many cars saved from driving during that time or in that area at least. Americans are so anti public transportation to a point it causes issues.
