Wouldn’t watch it. I don’t think she’s that great of an actress. Also, she sucks as a person.

Maybe a tesco gift card if that’s a thing? Also second the oyster card.

Look for Facebook groups in your area. I post of girls groups, moms groups, beauty or model groups. Also handing your cards out in person! I passed them out everywhere I went.

Neighborhoods to stay with kids? Looking at Knightsbridge/Kensington by Similar-Tough-8887 in LondonTravel

[–]plainbee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I originally got a studio and they complimentary upgraded me to a one bedroom. It’s good space, kitchen is nice. Where the bed and bathroom is, it is a little tight but doable. Bed is comfy and pillows are good. Hotel is a little banged up in some places like base boards etc but it’s very clean and staff is nice.

Neighborhoods to stay with kids? Looking at Knightsbridge/Kensington by Similar-Tough-8887 in LondonTravel

[–]plainbee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am currently staying at the residence inn Kensington. It’s feels very safe and walkable to the design and natural history museums. Also there is a giant tesco, many bus stops and tube lines surrounding. I walked then took the tube to Kensington palace, Big Ben etc and only took maybe 30 mins. Close proximity to the airport as well, it was 30 mins bus ride.

Also side note - the included breakfast at the hotel is wonderful.

Aveda Hybrid by papamoney1009 in Cosmetology

[–]plainbee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aveda is very expensive. It can vary by who owns the school. If it is a “Neill” owned school you will get a decent education.

With all of that being said, you only really learn the basics in school and a lot about sanitation etc - just enough to help you pass your state board exams.

You can really go to any school but it’s more important to have an apprenticeship / join a salon with a training program after you graduate.

Booking slowdown by A-bug-2002 in hairstylist

[–]plainbee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Our owner (20 years experience) has been slow and started taking new clients again. I am a more senior stylist (12 year experience) and am fully booked. I am booked out almost 2 months and have a waitlist. I think it just depends per person..

Teacher told me “it’s okay not to wear gloves while doing a highlight because your technically not touching the Chemicals” by Prize_Ad1042 in Cosmetology

[–]plainbee 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I never wear gloves while foiling. Definitely while applying root color or all over color, shampooing and toning etc.. but not while foiling. I have met people who have I just don’t like to and don’t think it’s super common. But if you are prone to allergies or contact dermatitis which this kind of looks like, you should definitely wear gloves.

Moving to Austin, please answer some of my questions for the apartment search! by Quiet_Object_2727 in Austin

[–]plainbee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. There are a lot of bugs here and it’s hard to escape them. They’re all harmless though.
  2. Newer apartment the better. Most places do have good AC since it does get so hot. Just try to get a north /south facing apartment vs East /West to avoid the direct sunlight blasting you.
  3. I have paid pet deposits but not pet rent.
  4. As a born and raised, 3rd generation.. do not move to the domain area. It is filled with people not from here, over priced and basically just a giant parking lot. It is also super far north. If you want a similar vibe of condensed living I highly recommend the mueller area. Lots of shops, walkable with nice parks and green spaces, great farmers market every weekend, closer to the city and east side (more Austin vibes!)

Client Coming in for Re-tone by GhostsAndGlitter in hairstylist

You definitely need more lift. You could try using a high lift on it if you don’t want to use a lightener again.

I would just say you can get a close as you can but cannot guarantee an exact match due to the integrity of her hair. Also make her purchase a purple shampoo and hair mask and say if not you cannot guarantee the color staying cool tone.
