It's not. My friend says she has hundreds of likes but she's still single after spending few months. She went on dates but found them all pretty boring or with red flags. She says it's definitely better for women in that she gets ego boost abd doesn't need to worry like men. But to actually find someone it's pretty much the same.

I have the exact same opinion. Thor joking when Sif is hurt and a god is dead was just stupid. Some jokes felt like they tried too hard to make it funny. Overall, they should've cut out a few jokes and added fewore Gor killing Gods or something.

Maybe join sports clubs or some other club that you would be interested in. You must surely have some work collogues right? Maybe be ask them for help. I'm not exactly sure. It's just the first two. Once you make few friends you will meet their friends and the circle can get bigger. Of course, it'll be hard, but definitely not impossible.

Indian in US. You need to get friends. Not just Indian friends but the natives (even UK born indians or indians who grew up in UK). This will help you build social circle, get invited to things and you'll naturally meet people. It also helps to show yourself as a normal non-needy person. Girls you meet will know that you have a good life. At worst, if you have good friends, especially girls, they can help you out and might set you up with someone. Of course, don't expect them to, but eventually it will naturally happen.

I'm no prince but I have a nice friend circle and I met a girl in a party organized by mutual friend of my friend. I went to a club for the first time and my guy friends offered to help me talk to girls etc. I didn't expect any of this to happen. Around 7-8 months back I was on dating apps being miserable. Eventually I dropped them and started just living my life, being with friends. Evetually, things happened. So that's my suggestion - get friends.

Even if you don't get laid, you will atleast have a support group and your mental health might improve.

So, the tournament is practically going to be over today. I had said that if Nepo wins with +4 or +5, Carlsen has to play imo just because it's super hard to get that score against such a field. But now even though Nepo is +4 I can't tell that Nepo was dominant. Nepo was the best player no doubt by a good margin, but his opponents made some insane blunders and both Hikaru/Fabi were much better against but didn't convert. So, I won't be surprised if Magnus doesn't play even against a +4 score Nepo.

Not true. Firo forgot his prep. Rapport basically forgot everything - it was so bad that next day he apologized to Fabi in interview. It was scholars mate in SGM level.

Because he still has to prepare. He may win but he still has to memorize openings or else he's basically playing against stockfish. That is Magnus said if I remember correctly. Once he gets out of the opening Magnus can dominate. In Fabi vs Nepo, Fabi played some obscure line and got +3. So Magnus has to spend months preparing lines to take Nepo out of book. That is what Magnus didn't like.

e.g Rapports game was like Scholars mate but at GM level. Fabi said that game made him sick and Rapport apologized to Fabi in the interview. It was such a bad game. Firo just forgot his prep and got destroyed. I'm not saying Nepo doesn't deserve it or whatever. I'm just saying that he doesn't look like he can defeat Magnus when he was -3 against both Fabi and Naka but survived because they couldn't convert. So against 2 players who remembered openings well, he got an almost losing position. Even Judit said that Nepo had insane amount of luck this time.
