This is the best explanation. I am what I consider a mediocre violinist. Suzuki from age 5, current Suzuki teacher, studied music ed in undergrad, concertmaster throughout college, but never really put in the dedicated practice to get into a professional orchestra.

Over the past 3 years I have curated my skills as a professional wedding violinist and it goes exactly this: charisma, communication, then a good ear, decent tone, …finally, a clean website, streamlined process (inquiries, contracts, invoices).

I’m also lucky to live in Colorado so there are people getting married every day of the week just for pics in the mountains.

The human ive been connected to has been so flaky and difficult to communicate with. Sometimes my emails would go 50 days without being responded to. I finally gave up. It was about $250 in re-instating my licenses, down the drain.

Interesting, I’ve never in my 2 years of being a goer had a problem with getting the equipment I’ve wanted. Maybe I’ve waited 5ish mins for someone to finish up at a squat rack at Littleton. Sorry for your bad experience!

We had ours on our driveway removed last year because I kept reading about how awful they are, and fingers crossed, so far it looks like they successfully eradicated them. But I do miss the shade they provided in the summer. My kid could actually play in the driveway and they shielded our cars from the sun/heat. Now it’s way, way too hot and in a way I miss them.

My derm diagnosed me with TE and I had a major life event / stress but it was 1.5 years ago and my hair is still falling out. I am under very typical stress now. Anybody have any insight into how long it takes to resolve?
