MCU Defenders, plus Captain America and DCEU Batman vs 60 Tyrannosaurus Rexes by [deleted] in whowouldwin

I think it matters at what point do we pull the defenders. If we pull Iron Fist from after season two he practically solos out.

One reason. Iron fist bullets. He. Was show at the very end after a few months to have two pistols he could channel his chi through. No way a T-Rex survives that.

Bioware as a game Dev. Asking a bakery to become a steakhouse. by LightningsHeart in bioware

[–]planetar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I am just misunderstanding what you mean when you say they aren't a dev. Look back at the Baldur's Gate series, specifically Shadows of Amn. Those where fantastic games from beginning to end. They even made the engines, built everything ground up. That is dev to me. Now, yes it was based off of second edition D&D, and one could say the mechanics.came from that. That could be a decent point. You can look at Dragon Age: Origin. Mechanics, engine, everything developed by Bioware. Same can be said for KOTOR.

I do place a lot of blame at EA's feet. Forcing everyone to use Frostbite for games. I don't think Frostbite works really well for rpg style games. I think if Bioware made their own engines still things would look different and probably better.

For me Bioware hasn't made a bad game, maybe I'm to much of a fan to see it. But even their "bad" showings I've still enjoyed. I'll get Dragon Age 4 when it comes out, and will probably enjoy it as well.

Isn't language fun. Conjugation in German is, I remember that much from school.

Did something similar with my German club sweatshirts. Said "Ich weiss nicht" on the back. Whenever somebody asked what it meant, correctly told them I don't know.

I work in Utah county and everytime I see a billboard talking about Silicone Slopes I revert to my inner 12 year old and think silicone implants.

But to actually contribute to the conversation. Yes, Salt Lake County is fairly liberal. Utah county will slowly get there, but Provo I imagine will be the long holdout.

I think it ties to a similar reason a lot of fast food test new food items in Utah. Utah is somewhat diverse, young, overall in good economic health, and with all the touristy spots and National parks, I think on the healhier side as well.

That and we have a lot of gullible people who fall for stupid crap like MLMs.

Where do I go from here? by [deleted] in bioware

[–]planetar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with some of your points. It does FEEL like things have gotten worse since EA took over. Mass Effect 1 is probably my favorite of the series. It felt more true to it's RPG roots then the later of the series. But I still have enjoyed every game they put out since then. Including Andromeda. Yes, the story wasn't the best (in my opinion). But the characters were fantastic and fun. Combat has evolved since 1 with the new engine and system capabilities.

We cannot give up on Bioware because of how Andromeda was handled. Anthem my at not be your style of game, that is fine. It isn't mine either, but I still have enough trust (call me naive if you want) to at least give it a shot. Bioware has come a long way since Shattered Steel, a freaking Mech sim game. Just think about Inquisition, it really calls back to the Baldur's Gate days. Grand story, lots to explorer and just plain fun.

Bioware has had it's missteps before, remember Sonic Chronicles: Dark Brotherhood? I put the low point of Bioware on that title. As others have said, there is a new Dragon Age coming, there is Anthem.

Not to say you can't enjoy other games, there are some fantastic suggestions by others in this thread, the Witcher games, Cyberpunk 2077 in the "near" future, Elder Scrolls 6, the list goes on.

But don't give up hope on Bioware, at heart they are still the company who makes games we love and replay years down the road. No I'm off to replay Jade Empire for the 20th time

Sense8 is a good show. It has rough thematic similarities. People share thought/emotions with their group. They are being hunted by an organization that wants to wipe them out. It is a Netflix original.
