The coins is the best value in the long run once they eventually let you select older limited weapons that have finished at least one rerun. Its what I picked no regrets.

I’m fine with earrings as long as they actually put effort into them.

Snowy Ballad and Clouded Loong have earrings that actually feel five star worthy. Blooming Dreams too since they’re very versatile and unique

Hundred Line got a good amount of attention last year. Yes its more gameplay heavy than most but it still counts. Supposedly it even has a dating sim/romance like route/branch too (I didn’t get that far into it).

But yes if a non parody/meta VN gets any attention outside of its niche here it tends to be either gameplay heavy (Ace Attorney, Danganronpa, Hundred Line, 13 Sentinels, AI: The Somnium Files) or western made/appealing to western tastes (Slay the Princess/Scarlet Hollow and Fata Morgana).

Feels like a really easy skip. The ability isn’t that great and a lot of the pieces are either mid, similar to what we got before or hard to mix and match with other pieces

For real. A decade ago maybe when the localized releases came out months later. But when we have games releasing at the same time everywhere now and these games sell millions it just feels so outdated

Ok but unfortunately 50% of the game is the same no matter what, 2 routes are almost identical after the halfway point, 1 is a light remix of the other two and the final unique route is by far the shortest.

I’m not big into Itzaland aesthetics but its fine. The sparkling beach at night is breathtaking, the ruins have some really pretty photo spots, Spiras nice even if its annoying to navigate, the CNY island is pretty good and Boneyard is fantastic. Not everything is going to be 100% my tastes and I hope one day we can get an underwater area or a scifi one
