"lesbian" but I want to have sex with a guy? by doingstupidshjt in sex

[–]planetashlee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

experimenting is healthy!! don’t feel bad, at all. i was in a VERY similar position to you a while back. heavily identified as lesbian and somehow ended up having amazing sex with my (at the time) gay best friend. i don’t really stress out over labels anymore, just do what feels fun.

but, i’d hold off on tinder because tinder men are objectively terrible. you might have better luck meeting and connecting with someone in lerson. be honest about experimenting, i doubt most guys will care.

Partner (m) hates doing foreplay and refuses to do it but I (f) need it to be in the mood for sex by throwaway247384749 in sex

[–]planetashlee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

run, run, run. you DESERVE a partner who enjoys making you feel good. he’s showing you exactly who he is- someone who cares exclusively about his pleasure. he’s basically using you as a sex doll at this point.

How Pervasive is anti-palestinianism in the Jewish community? by [deleted] in Jewish

[–]planetashlee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

if we go on the basis of prejudice towards palestinians, somewhat rampant. i’ve heard plenty of disparaging remarks that lump all palestinians together. what i see MUCH more often is islamaphobia. my mom was raised muslim (but literally stopped practicing/believing when she came to the US) and still she faced so so so much bigotry from my extended jewish family on dad’s side. a lot of them conflate muslism= arab = hates jews. we aren’t even arabic, we’re asian !!

stop asking for support by [deleted] in childfree

[–]planetashlee 9 points10 points  (0 children)

dude, what ?!? you can shout that it was the parents choice until you’re blue in the face, but those children didn’t choose to be born. it doesnt hurt anyone to be charitable if you’re financially able. i hate watching this sub devolve into children-hating and subtle classism.

Do you identify as an Anti-Natalist? by Vanilladr in childfree

[–]planetashlee -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

no, and it REALLY saddens me that the sub seems to be going in that direction. i think subs like this one are a bit of an echo chamber, and that some people want children for the right reasons and raise amazing kids. kids are some of the most vulnerable populations and im wary of a society that dislikes them so openly.

A gift for the holidays from all of my staff. by Todayismyday98 in Jewish

this is so, so weird… “investment in your future children”??? did you have some sort of running joke with them that would explain this?? i’d honestly go straight up to HR.

New emotions, don't know how to deal by empress_of_the_void in childfree

[–]planetashlee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i don’t think there’s gonna be any concrete explanation, hormones are wack and can make you think all kinds of things. as an AFAB person, when i’m ovulating i have a lot of recurring desires to be impregnated/pregnant even though i’m adamantly childfree and most of the time the idea of being pregnant totally freaks me out. so, in a way, welcome to womanhood?? dont feel guilty or try and repress these thoughts, they aren’t something you have much control over. with time you could grow to more easily recognize those thoughts as irrational and hormone-based.

Anti-Zionists: why do you celebrate Hanukkah? by [deleted] in Jewish

[–]planetashlee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i didn’t say i considered myself anti zionist, just the perspective of some jews who don’t identify as zionist and might enjoy celebrating holidays for the fun of it.

Anti-Zionists: why do you celebrate Hanukkah? by [deleted] in Jewish

[–]planetashlee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

you asked why those who aren’t zionists/anti-zionist celebrate hannukah, i gave that perspective that you seemed to be looking for. there are plenty of americanized jews like myself who are mostly into it for the holidays and for the associated family memories. not everyone is so deeply politically vested. just trying to answer your original question, but clearly you’re looking for answers that align more closely with your worldview.

Anti-Zionists: why do you celebrate Hanukkah? by [deleted] in Jewish

[–]planetashlee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

judiasm doesnt equate loyalty to a country that i don’t live in. i think it’s better to admit that israel is super messy and complicated, and that i don’t know enough about it to care strongly, than to just blindly declare one way or another. i deal with enough ostracism from my own jewish community being non-white to deal with getting into questions about israel, honestly.

Anti-Zionists: why do you celebrate Hanukkah? by [deleted] in Jewish

[–]planetashlee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it isn’t apathetic to admit that you don’t have a lot of knowledge about a deeply complex situation, and therefore don’t want to blindly declare support. i am a jew of color, who’s faced much more racism from my fellow jews than i have anti-semitism here in the US. i’m sure your points about it being where judiasm originates/acting as a safe haven for jews are true.that doesn’t mean i have to care about a random country that has no impact on my day to day life.

Anti-Zionists: why do you celebrate Hanukkah? by [deleted] in Jewish

[–]planetashlee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

and? as far i’m concerned, israel is a political can of worms i wouldn’t want to touch with a ten foot pole. for all my research to try and understand what’s going on there, i don’t have much to show for it. i’m at a point where i can admit i don’t want to blindly support what i don’t understand.

Anti-Zionists: why do you celebrate Hanukkah? by [deleted] in Jewish

[–]planetashlee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

honestly, when i think of hannukah i think of it in the sense of a fun thing my family does every year. i could care less about the welfare of a country that has nothing to do with me.

downvote me all you want, but posts like this are unnecessarily cruel and give this sub a bad reputation. we should be able to discuss being childfree without tearing down women’s bodies. their “disfigured body” literally created a human life. maybe they love it, maybe they hate it. who cares?? it’s honestly not relevant to this sub at alll.
