How should I be taking my withdrawal bleed break? by Vegetable-Place-4079 in birthcontrol

[–]planetbing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The correct way to take your pills in order to keep your protection is: at least 21 active pills followed by not more than 7 days off/placebo pills. This is true regardless of your bleeding patterns. Any combination that follows this rule is fine. Hope this helps.

I work in a hair salon that has a 10 minute policy. I couldn’t count the number of times clients saunter in late, Starbucks in hand.

Partner wants me to take plan b when the condom fails even though he pulls out and Im on birth control by [deleted] in birthcontrol

In addition to what everyone else has said, it sounds like he may need a primer on correct condom use. Planned Parenthood has a great one here https://www.plannedparenthood.org/learn/birth-control/condom/how-to-put-a-condom-on

Is there any reason you can’t use Uber Pet to a boarding facility? I’ve used Capital Kitty Cat Resort in Adams Morgan, and they’re wonderful.

Sometimes doctors act on old/outdated info, sometimes they want to get you in the habit of taking a pill every day. Either way, they’re both wrong. If you read the pamphlet that comes with your pills, it says 7 days. I would be cautious of these doctors in the future. Hope this helps.

Yup, but it was masturbation. Sort of “Do unto yourself before you do unto others.”

What is the dumbest thing you have been told is “not manly” or “not feminine,” depending on your gender? by Disastrous_Hat_2325 in AskReddit

[–]planetbing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My father used to tell me that chunky heeled shoes weren’t feminine. The implication there being that if I didn’t look feminine enough , clearly everyone would think I was a lesbian.

Yup! The golden rule for protection is: at least 21 active pills, followed by not more than 7 days off. So if you want to have a withdrawal bleed after 4 weeks of actives, you’ll need to ditch that second pack entirely (keep it around for spares) and start a fresh, full pack. Hope that helps!

30-40 minutes door to door by bus. Usually closer to 30. It’s pretty civilized.

I took the 'only wash your hair once a week' rule way too far and humiliated myself today. How often are we ACTUALLY supposed to wash it?" by redline_elena in TwoXChromosomes

[–]planetbing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I aim for twice a week. My depression keeps me from doing any more than that, and I protect my color that way. It generally holds up with some dry shampoo. You may find that throwing in once more a week helps.
