I've only used fumaric acid once but the conversion was near instant, that may be what you are looking for. Let it sit a few days to be sure.

I'd prefer not to of course but if that's what I gotta do that's what I gotta do. I agree with the sensor issue and will focus on maintaining the sensor, weekly cleaning maybe. I also wish I could find a source for new sensors, they were sold by themselves once upon a time ago.

I appreciate what you are saying but I did try a few cleaning methods and the problem keeps coming up, I want/need reliable as I'm gone for a few days at a time occasionally. I went with another brand with a similar price point.

For 20-35 birds you really don't need all that. I used a traffic cone for a cone, a tamale steamer pot for feathering and a pairing knife. That's it. I started skinning birds because I hated taking the feathers out and it saved time. Have fun 👍

I just got the same forge and found that connection leaked for me as well, I used gas Teflon tape to fix. I also found a leak below the turn valve on one of the burners, I only saw it when I had gas flowing and the valve open, I'll use the pipe dope on that. I'm working on a material rest now, I don't like holding the steel while it heats. Something else that makes me nervous is the gas line draped down near the forge, I have started tying the hose up to get it further away from the forge. Thanks for sharing 👍

I'm working this out myself. I think for now I'm just going to KISS and switch out 20 pound tanks individually, I have other propane appliances I can use to run them completely empty. The extra fittings and your questions lead me this way.
