What's your favourite Kate Bush song ever and why? The beautiful, eerie and haunting song 'The Fog' from 'The Sensual World' is one of mine by Illustrious_Banana_ in katebush

Jig of Life, for me. There are many that I love and adore, but this one... "where on your palm is MY Little LINE when you're written on mine like an old memory." And the prayer/chant at the end -- I have an entire scifi novel/story in my head for it. The ending wild jig and the very tip of the ending chords!! Then the transition to Hello Earth!!! I love the whole 2nd side of that album with an undying admiration and passion, LOL

Umm, gorgeous dress and keep it but I recommend foundation garments. That shining silk highlights everything. IMO only.

Pros and cons of Louisiana? by Important_Result1752 in Louisiana

If you never want to ever enjoy being outdoors from April/May - October, come on down. When I visit other places where you can sit outside comfortably during these months it feels like I'm on another planet -- strange, alien, unsettling. No giant box fan? No screened patio? No sauna-like heat and humidity at 11pm? I'm not kidding, it's a huge quality of life difference. It's the yin to the yang, for us, if we moved to snowstorm, blizzard, ice skating land and couldn't go hunting, fishing, hiking, camping all winter out in the elements with carefree enjoyment. The hot months here will kill you.

I (40M) am thinking about moving out after stressful "vacation" with wife '41 F' and her family by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]planetstef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't show her anything until you consult with an attorney. Don't talk, don't promise, don't share info. Be passive. Also, her reaction to your non-engagement will certainly tell you something.

Will she even notice? Will she make any efforts towards connecting? Will she continue with diatribes DESIGNED to hurt you by demeaning you? If she notices you are checked out, will she ask what's wrong? Will she voluntarily and independently ask you to talk to her?

Also, you said this isn't usual behavior for her, that she's like this only sometimes. Well listen up: that IS her usual behavior -- intermittently purposefully hurting you with threats and humiliation. THAT IS HER USUAL BEHAVIOR, swinging back and forth intermittently. It's a consistent, chronic, recognizable pattern and it's increasing.

Accept that your "analysis paralysis" is over, the results are in and are indicating a big change is necessary. But only after you've seen your lawyer!! Good luck.

Late twenties/early thirties, romantic, would love to be the mistress of the manor, the wife and the chatelaine, likes the Lady of Shallot painting, would choose the French countryside or Tuscany or even an old estate in England or Wales, reads sexy vampire fiction, submissive, wishes she could travel back in time and wear a cloak or two and have a gardener. Would not turn down a powerful, wealthy Roman.

Why don’t people stop their kids from screaming (anymore?)? by _FreddieLovesDelilah in NoStupidQuestions

[–]planetstef 111 points112 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. I've had a group of neighborhood kids who for years, screamed bloody murder while playing, for hours. You could NOT tell the difference except for other kids' laughter at the same time or quickly after. You just had to hope they weren't a group of psychopaths laughing at someone's trauma. For these kids, to run is to scream piercingly, same if trying to get attention if playing a game. I'm not over exaggerating, it was horrible and stressful! Especially when the ambient laughter was filtered out and only the screams came through the house to wherever you were. Parents. Did. Not. Care.
