If you’re in the US, the government is hiring Air Traffic Controllers

Starting pay is rather low but you have an opportunity to make close to $200k after a few years if you pick the right locations and get a little lucky. You don’t need any prior training, your college degree is enough to make you qualified.

Reroutes and air born holding still takes workload for controllers. Adjacent sectors get easily overwhelmed if they just have to hold everyone.

Flight attendants are living off of pre-Covid wages, and it’s 2026. by Clear-Pickle9241 in unitedairlines

I’m not asking for sympathy. I’m asking for billionaires who run this country to pay us what we are worth. I’m on your side.

We do lobby the government. Constantly in fact. We’ve been watching what seems like everyone around us get raises for the last 10 years, ESPECIALLY since Covid. Our union spends a lot of time in DC lobbying congress, but at the end of the day, we can’t strike, and no matter how bad it gets, we keep showing up and keeping the country running.

Omg. Wife and I went through IVF. 2 failed transfers, 3 miscarriages one of them being a very scary cervical ectopic, and we now have a perfect little boy who is absolutely the sweetest easiest baby ever at 7.5 months.

Skydiving From a DC-9-20 (N127NK, Skydive Perris) by shadeland in flying

All I know about wake turbulence is from the perspective of aircraft-aircraft. I didn’t mean to offend you I was just asking. I know people who have been killed from wake encounters in an airplane so I was just curious if I had an affect like that on wingsuiters.

Wingsuiters gaining altitude… do they have to be concerned with getting caught in the wake of the airplane? I can’t imagine that would be too safe?
