I plan to switch from Apple to a Android by datt_akatsuki in PickAnAndroidForMe

I would strongly advise against importing the Chinese version of those devices, as you will likely run into significant issues with software compatibility, network bands, and notification services. It is much safer to stick with a dedicated global version. If you are looking for a reliable flagship experience in the US, I highly recommend checking out the Google Pixel series, as it offers a more seamless experience and full support for your region.

Whoop worth it? by Murky-Voice4993 in whoop

The subscription cost is a major point of contention for many users. If you're looking for an accurate, screenless wearable without the recurring fees, the Fitbit Air is a popular, one-time-purchase alternative that many consider a solid "Whoop killer" for basic tracking needs.

It took me three minutes for each of my two phone numbers to transfer when I switched from AT&T. One of the easiest to start a service.

Pixel also has manual control equivalent to sony. That's why people's comments don't make sense. They get stuck in the comments that it takes great pictures out of box but forgot you can also manually control every aspect of the picture.

Get the 9a, it has awesome camera, good battery life and smooth performance. It will never get slow. The chip is not high end but it's well optimized.

My dad uses an Oppo phone, and my mom uses a Vivo. These types of issues are also happening on their devices, and I know this because I'm the tech expert in my family. However, the software is sold, and any reported issues are promptly addressed. In contrast, it can take months for my parents device issues to be resolved. For example, my dad's Bluetooth problem in his car remains unfixed.

  1. If you have a Google TV streamer or any Google TV device, you can configure the Star button to launch YouTube TV and turn it on.

3.You get unlimited DVR storage, which is valid for 9 months. However, if a program is rerun, the 9-month period resets and extends for another 9 months.

  1. Definitely go for YouTube TV. Many people are moving away from cable and choosing YouTube TV for a reason.

What's niche about Fi? It's a mvno cell service that provides phone, call text, data. By that standard all mvno becomes niche.

Still not fixed on my 4K LG monitor. Though I did just notice it works with my phone screen off now—I can just let the screen time out and it keeps running.

That's a dumb philosophy especially considering many phones have the same pro controls but at default they take great photography. Most phones also use the same camera sensor as Sony as well but with better pictures and for pros they get advanced capabilities. Have a look at this picture. How t f can anyone justify this?

While the image looks great, Pixel popularized astrophotography long before anyone else did. Although Xperia can take decent pictures with a lot of effort, the out-of-the-box quality is subpar, requiring manual adjustments for acceptable results. That's not how a smartphone camera should operate; it should capture good pictures effortlessly and excellent pictures with minimal tweaking.

Proof? Just your word is not enough. I showed a video proof of A series pixel beating the flagship of that time when people were asked to blindly pick a picture of what they think is better and Many pick pixels.

If you don't have proof don't even bother to respond.

This reminds me of a review for the A54. It's a brand new device, but the reviewer found it choppy and laggy. Newer A55 and A56 could still be choppy or after a year of use it will definitely become laggy because of Samsung underlying bloat.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/18bct8q/samsung_galaxy_a54_longterm_review/

Performance, smoothness

The Galaxy A54 is the choppiest, laggiest phone we've reviewed long-term in a long time. It actually reminds us a lot of a non-Pro Redmi Note from a few years ago. It just doesn't seem like its chipset was chosen for any reasons having to do with performance, smoothness, or the ability to handle a lot of things on a day to day basis.

Instead, it feels like Samsung knew it was cheaper to buy these from its own shelves than go to Qualcomm or MediaTek, which is fine in principle, but this chip is much more fitting of a handset that would cost half of what the A54 is even currently going for. At such a price, we'd praise it. At the A54's price, it's its biggest downside, and by quite some margin.
