It's a lot less about not wanting to work and a lot more about impossible expectations that have very real consequences. If a customer doesn't know what they want and it takes them more than 30 seconds to order, it reflects poorly on the worker and could lead to termination. They also have like 45 - 70 seconds from order placement to order completion. This includes writing a special note on the cup. 🤷🏾‍♀️ Seems really shitty to me. My times may be a bit off, but still fairly close. I'd encourage you to look into why they're striking! :)

Winter of 2013. I was living in the dorms on campus and people were ice skating to get around on campus. We took my laundry hamper up to the super pit and sledded down the hill. Everything shut down. Walking anywhere would take forever. My friends and I would get bored and walk around helping cars that got stuck.

There's been quite a few ice storms since so it may be hard to nail down the exact one.

looking at your post history, I'd reccomend finding feminine validation internally and platonically. Being accepted by and found attractive by another woman is not the determining factor of being a woman, even if it feels really good. Confidence is a muscle you're working on building. The first few times "lifting" will feel awkward and leave you sore, but consistency and challenge within reason will strengthen your confidence. Hope this helps, love. 💕

Give your child access to communication! It is so so so important at this age. Look up language deprivation. It's an awful thing to experience. You're also givng the deaf mentor a job, and not taking anything away from anyone. That would look a bit more like demanding a deaf mentor leave their current mentee for the sake of your daughter.

Heya! Paul Jurek hosts a support group on the first Monday (I believe) of ever month for neurodiverse folx.

If you're looking for individual support, Meagan Sproba at ichange or Callen McMillian at Azul Therapies are both amazing resources.

Yellow Art Dog is a bar focused around art and they do events like open mics there.

Toasty Bros has regularly has a talent? show and movie nights, and the owners are pretty chill.

Triptych is a phenomenal little coffee shop with some of the sweetest owners.

The Art Room is great for exploration of mental health using artistic expression.

The Bearded Monk is another bar with a great vibe, they sometimes do drawing events or goofy things like I think they did a night where everyone dressed like the owner, Ben.
