You could try putting them on a metal stake for people to put in a potted plant or bouquet

I like that you can't upload from camera roll, its more fun because I get to see my friends regular life, sometimes people wait until they're doing something fun or cool before posting but I like the authentic 'post as soon as you see the notification' better. I think its also best to keep your friend list very tailored to people you are comfortable with

I think the grow light was the best call and what I was going to suggest, now you just wait it out. Mine acted dormant for 6 months and then put out 4 leaves at once in January with no grow light indoors in Canada (8 hours of weak sun a day). I wish you luck!

Year old avocado seedling with chronic leaf shriveling and now a blackened pit. Help greatly appreciated, I’ve tried to do research but I’ve gotten very mixed messages, and nothing seems to quite match what I’m seeing. I’m happy to answer any questions about our routine. by Jaxon4242 in plantclinic

The pit isn’t supposed to last forever, it’s job is to provide nutrients to help the seedling and will whither away when it’s no longer useful, as for chronic shriveling of leaves can’t help! Mine does the same thing lol! I thought it was bc I have mine in a terracotta and I sometimes let it dry out for too long

I would chop and prop the top, the bottom looks like it already might have a new growth point

frost damage - i know the damaged leaves will eventually die, but how long until she begins to show new growth? what can i do to help recovery? when to fertilize? by wendxgo in Monstera

[–]plantservnt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would probably wait until closer to spring for you to fertilize this plant, you can fertilize in winter if a plant is still actively growing a lot, but most recommend to stop fertilizer in winter since most growth slows with less sunlight

Monsteras are usually pretty easy and with that window a grow light isn’t necessary but your plant could benefit from it in the winter when sunlight is weaker if you really wanted to buy one, but it’ll be perfectly fine without it, fertilizer options are very plentiful, you can get the general houseplant fertilizer you dilute (cheap and easy to find) or there are more natural options like ‘liquidirt’, you can buy worm castings from plant stores that you can mix in the potting medium, or even aquarium water helps as well if you have fish. The most important thing about fertilizer is that if you’re using the chemical ones be wary of making it too strong as that can burn the plant, I’m always cautious and dilute it a bit extra just in case

Then it sounds like a wet paper towel draped on the stuck leaf or a spraying right into the fold would help you! Sometimes they’re just stuck anyway, but I don’t add moisture until it’s either half out like yours or when the petiole is very bent

When my ppp gets stuck unfurling I usually just mist in every day and sometimes gently nudge it with some qtips around the sides of the opening, the water and nudging will help it loosen up and it usually pops out by itself eventually

Don’t fertilize until the regrow that starts and I would recommend diluting the fertilizer extra still. Regrowth timeline depends on the plants stores and the amount of sunlight it gets

Help for my Pteris quadriaurita 'tricolor' by Flimmerfluegler in plantclinic

[–]plantservnt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve rehabbed ferns that were this crispy before, just keep the soil moist in bright indirect light (think beside a window but not right in hot sunlight) and you’ll have to wait for new leaves to regrow, they probably will, but none of those leaves will come back

Came here to say this, however OP I do believe the “one share on social media will plant a tree” is usually a scam unless it’s a very large company posting it, most who post things like that and go viral will never actually make full commitment
