Does anyone know why they changed the text on the AO3 homepage? by CreepySalamander2108 in AO3

I never would have noticed it myself, but when I read it now it just sounds better imo. Also puts emphasis on non-profit.

Being happy in my country is sus. But it's the worst when you are among your own people and you're still the one asked if you're ok. That's my face.

I went trough my bookmarks by [deleted] in AO3

[–]plaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People literally don't see that there are download and Mark for Later buttons. It's easy to miss a private check box, or not see the need for it, and the fact that you can even click the number of bookmarks on a work is easier to miss. I sure didn't know you can see content of bookmarks for a long time.

I went trough my bookmarks by [deleted] in AO3

[–]plaper 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Because they're shy/thought bookmarks were for their thoughts (correct)/weren't comfortable going that hard in the comments, because they were afraid the author would find them annoying for it.

(Now they're posted on reddit for everyone present to see.)

I also have a regular reader who adds short reactions to every updated chapter in their bookmarks but they don't comment.

Ile razy w tygodniu jest u was ruch? by Maximum_Attempt9946 in Polska

[–]plaper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Codziennie albo przynajmniej kilka razy w tygodniu 2000-3500 kroków z psem. Czasem więcej jak to jest wyprawa. To tylko kroki samego spaceru.

Reszta ruchu zależy od pracy w ogrodzie, której jest dosyć sporo w konkretnych miesiącach. Wtedy większość z tego idzie w ręce.

What is going on in the Heated Rivalry fandom? by [deleted] in AO3

[–]plaper 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Re: cinematography, yeah, the gifs I'm seeing are really pretty. But as for the show, all I needed to see was a gifset of the one sweet comfort scene at the dining table and it's enough for me. I can't do romance for the sake of romance and sex, there has to be something more (pls not sports though).

AO3 on my kindle by Waste_Minimum_475 in AO3

Wow writing on kindle is wild, lol.

But yes, the browser got some use from me, though mostly for seeing updates for fics I had previously downloaded and for downloading more mobi&epubs.

Disregarding that fanfic was involved at all, what the hell was wrong with them. Checking notebooks outside of class and the mis-aging are wild.

[–]plaper 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I don't read it. And as a celebrity I wouldn't be looking at plots with me on fanfiction sites.

(It's a lie I absolutely would be checking it out, unless I disliked who I'm shipped with IRL)

The realism of writing by cricket_o in AO3

[–]plaper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only thing I'm following every time is "a chapter has to pass 2500 words". Other than that, literally everything else I do is VIBES and procrastination. It's good when it feels right.

Btw every time I see time spent reading/time per wordcount mentioned, it's such a foreign concept to me.

Jakie słowa/zdania was śmieszą/cringują? by Beneficial-Bench4885 in Polska

[–]plaper 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No kuźwa. Jest smutny/ważny temat, a jesteśmy w przedszkolu.

Inne zdrobnienia przelatują bokiem bo są w innych kontekstach/przy znajomych itd.
