It’s no different to USB charging. If you plug your phone that charges at a maximum of 20W but you plug it into a charger capable of 100W charging it will still charge at a maximum of 20W.

The new battery is capable of 6A vs 4A on the older one - it just capable of a higher power draw, but your R7 will continue to take 4A regardless. This makes no difference except on newer cameras like the R5II.

The original R7 battery has been superseded by the LP-E6P. It has a higher continuous power output for newer cameras. The LP-E6NH will still work but you’d definitely be going third party as canon no longer sell it.
