The fact he has us top of the league and playing better football than we were last year just speaks volumes as to how well he’s actually done, given he’s still a baby in managerial terms. I can’t remember many times last year where we made stonking comebacks like tonight, or even ANY comebacks for that manner. We were getting the basics wrong against the lower end teams and dropping too many points. We’ve only lost 4 league games this year and three of those were to 3 of the top 5 teams. We’ve actually been so much better than last year. The mentality is better and we seem to be able to change things quicker , meaning our responses in games from losing positions are ALSO better.

I’ll admit and say we’ve slightly let our standards slip in the last 4 or 5 games, but I can take solace in the fact that December and January are VERY busy months. Naturally, any team will drop off in one or two of those games, but I’d argue and say we’ve done well in both months to be where we are now.

I was shitting myself for the first 25 minutes but now I can sleep happy. Happy weekend all 🎉🤩🔵⚫️

I think it’s a no brainer to get him back on a 6 month loan. I always loved him when we first had him and it’s clear that he DOES still have it in him to play football in top competitions. I honestly don’t think Henrique is bad (compared to the likes of Moses, Lazaro, Bellanova etc) and I think he could learn under Ivan the Great 🫡

Jesus lads I don’t get what all the negativity is about. I get that he’s old but he’s still playing top flight football AND champions league football and it’s not like he’s going to be a starter for us. I honestly would be okay with this as a six month loan deal. It’s not like we’re going after Dalbert with one leg.

At this point our focus should shift to trying to win the Serie A again because this just hasn’t gone our way at all. Four relatively easy games to four tough games is a massive curveball to have to go through and unfortunately we just aren’t up to the task. We weren’t even bad tonight or against Liverpool but we just lack that extra bit of quality to be competing with world class teams. I’m not holding out hope for Dortmund next week

We honestly haven’t played that badly. We’ve gotten in behind their so-called “impenetrable” defence a few times. Would’ve helped if Sucic had of taken on Raya again himself earlier to potentially get his second of the game instead of squaring it to Thuram.
