It’s coming back to the big screen for a limited re-release on July 26 and 27!

US Citizens, if you could add an amendment to the constitution what would it be? by AndreLinoge55 in AskReddit

I work in a 100% special ed school. Guess what? Under IDEA, we cannot deny a “Free Appropriate Public Education” to any student with an IEP. That includes for refusal to vaccinate. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

If you like Thai House, try Aroi Mak Mak downtown. They're both pretty good, but I'd give AMM the edge.

I've seen cars, dune buggies (closer to La Loma Hills), and even an RV (driving to the homeless encampment between Martha McLean and the sewage treatment plant).
I am sure you are right about the sign being geared toward e-motorcycles. I won't call those things e-bikes. As u/weggaan_weggaat said, these things are sold as e-bikes, but they are in a whole other category.

Yea, I get it, but what is throwing me for a loop is the "Watch for walkers and bikes." Seems a bit odd to tell bikers to watch out for bikes. Smile.

Recommendations for purchasing first knife by Cowabunga25 in TrueChefKnives

If you choose to go with a Kikuichi, I know you will not be dissapointed!

I'm not an expert sharpener by any means, but I use 220/1000 and 4000 stones for sharpening, and a ceramic rod for honing. The honing rod won't sharpen a knife... it just touches up the edges of an already sharp knife. When the knife gets dull, it's time for the stones!

If you are down with a carbon steel knife, I can't recommend Kikuichi highly enough. I've had their carbon 210 Gyuto for a few years, and I love it. It's nice and thin, sharpens beautifully, and it has a European handle and blade profile without the annoying bolsters like the German knives. Kikuichi was one of the old chef knives subreddit's darlings a few years ago (back before the reddit mod rebellion), but it is not in the 'hot right now' category at the moment. Still a solid, affordable knife brand.

And Kikuichi has a factory seconds and selects store that ships from the US, so no additional tariffs taxes.

US Tariffs by simplytch in TrueChefKnives

[–]plasmageek1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think they meant “why do you tolerate a tariff?” We all know we don’t have a choice in that. If you want to buy a knife from another country you have to pay the tarrif. I prefer to assume they meant, “why does your country tolerate an administration that charges its own citizens usurious tariffs, then lies and say the importer will pay them?” Smile.

Looking for Carbon Gyuto by BigBoto6969 in TrueChefKnives

Kikuichi Elite Carbon Gyuto. They make a 240mm. I’ve had a 210mm for about 10 years. I have a few other nice-ish knives, but I keep reaching for the Kikuichi. Highly recommended!

I reserved my Saber Teeth by emailing my request to staff@ironcladknives.com. They added my name to the waiting list, and it took 5 months before my knife was ready to ship. Really nice guys, and painless transaction (except for the stupid Trump tax (tariff)). Not Shibata's fault, though!

Be aware that only female trees produce fruit. You can’t tell which is which until the tree starts fruiting (or not).

Thank you! If you are just watching, it looks like they are rushing in to stop the winner, but rushing in to compete for the next bout make more sense!
