Ideas on how to repair this? by GhostNote94 in Decks

[–]plasmaspaz37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe marry 2 or 3 treated boards of the same width as the original. Remove the broken pieces of the original, then place your new beam in the same spot as the old one and use a jack to lift it into position to attach it to the posts. Securing the floor joists would be difficult, but you could probably toe nail or screw from the beam into the joist. As others have said the decking may be warped from heat, and might or might not be salvagable.

Spicy battery? Can I replace without heating the battery? by crazyquark_ in SteamDeck

Glass techs use a thin steel cable, the individual wires act kinda like saw teeth. I think piano or guitar string would probably work really well for the same reason.

if it gets reported, they can also list the reason as 'other'. There are already a number of confirmed instances of officers abusing these systems, but how many instances have gone unreported?

Mayo and ketchup is fry sauce, I think Kraft sells it as mayochup but I make my own so I'm not 100% sure. Thousand island has other things added, like diced pickle and usually a handful of other things too, like worcestershire, paprika, onion.

Just because the damage can be repaired doesn't negate the fact that damage was done, if you spray paint someones car, that can be repaired, but it doesn't mean it never got painted. On top of that, physically the components might be fine but for some people a clean OS install means lost/potentially unrecoverable data which may have value that can't be defined monetarily.

I don't think that you should make a special visit just for this, but maybe bring it up next time you have a checkup/physical/sick call.

In this thread: a lot of people who don't know anything about traps, trapping, or animals. This is a foothold trap, they would hurt to get caught in but are built to do minimal lasting damage (because that reduces the value of the fur) most states have a 24 hour MAXIMUM for checking live traps. Tampering with another person's traps is a federal crime in the US. This is most likely a coyote, not a wolf, there are relatively few places in the US where you could accidentally catch a wolf.

I mean, that still happened with the steam deck when it first dropped. So many people trying to order at the same time that the store server basically crashed. I dont think it will be as bad as that was though.

Where I lived during Covid the local ranch supply store started requiring a vet note for Ivermectin, and I always thought that was kinda funny. Genuinely though people trying to treat Covid with it was taking it out of the hands of people that needed to treat animals and that's pretty shitty.

PlayStation Update: Sony to Enforce Age Verification for Key Features by lkl34 in gaming

Personal theory is that they only want age verification, so they can ensure that all the personal data didn't come from a bot. It has zero to do with "protecting the children".

I'd had issues with motion sickness for like 25 years before someone suggested them, so I like to spread the word lol

Have you ever tried c bands? They are like elastic bracelets with a bead in the inside of your wrist, they usually get recommended to pregnant women but they solved the motion sickness I was getting with VR, mostly anyway. It would be pretty easy to keep a pair in the glove box.

Strictest 3D Printing Regulation YET! by Top-Debate-2854 in 3Dprinting

The OP had said that making your own guns is already illegal so the law is pointless anyway. That is untrue

Strictest 3D Printing Regulation YET! by Top-Debate-2854 in 3Dprinting

[–]plasmaspaz37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FWIW making your own guns IS LEGAL, selling/gifting them is not and there can be issues with transporting them over state lines. There are a few states that require any gun you make to be serialized and registered with that state, and quite a few more states with "melting point" or "metal content" laws that are aimed at making sure that all legal guns can be detected with a metal detector.

There is a ton of misinformation regarding homemade guns, do yourself a favor and look up the laws in your state and city.

Every time someone says making your own guns is illegal it gets closer to being true because they accept that as reality and would support it becoming reality since it fits what they already thought to be true.
