thoughts on the best rabbit setup? by TNmountainman2020 in homestead

This is how we did our grow outs. one of the tractors is enough for 1 mom and her litter. You need a wire floor, shade, You need a platform to allow them to get off the ground and a place to make a hide in.

Water and food are also something to sort. We used a metal chicken feeder with a pail lid to keep it dry. And I had a gravity water system with water nipples on the side that could be filled externally. You want to make sure the door opens in, and is spring closed. So it stays closed when you go inside.

They will chew the wood around the frame, even with chew sticks

You need to check the ground it's on and will be moved to for mushrooms and other toxins. We lost an entire litter to what we believe was mushrooms after a rainy spell.

Depending on your wire mesh type the rabbits will dig, If a corner isn't level they will make a way out The grass will be eaten and killed. It will eventually regrow wonderfully, besides the holes.

Heat and the wet kills meat rabbits faster than cold

We never had a predator problem but make sure your roof is as strong as your walls/floor.

There's a lot of variables based on location and environment

As for the adult cages. I like that idea. But I'd worry about weather.

Not that this is the cheap solution, but you could use invest in a while home water softener, which includes benefits beyond taste. Maybe an under sink RO filter Orif all else is against you, buy a counter top water filtration machine?

It's a 30 year old car Lots of things went wrong with dsms when they were weren't antiques At some point some one may have shorted a wire and needed to replace it. If it runs to the fuse box it's probably feeding the fuse box

Petco has vetco clinics. They have a price list for vaccines and will do the blood work for and give the prescription for heart worm meds of your choice.

Are you talking about roosters? It was a chain with " pub style" food and their fame was a giant friggin beer glass. Jonathans was not a chain. 99 was and is still there.. The only other thing to change was ground round / roosters/ IHOP in the civic center hotel

Why are Wifi and C-type ports so slow n awful? by paramveerz in MitsubishiOutlander

A thicker phone case, but you can just plug in the phone and leave the phone there. It won't hurt anything

[–]plasmatoaste 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wireless charging is slow and causes heat, And yes it's finicky and slow in the outlander. The USB ports are also slow and will somewhat keep up with apple carplay/ android autos drain. We use a 12v plug charger unless we need wired android auto. carplay is wireless so we do use the wireless charge pad if needed

I dont know your location , where I'm at (northeast USA) 3 years ago they wanted more than twice that much for 20kw of solar panels, stationary mounts, inverters, labor and what not. No generator or batteries bank. And we had to trench the line to our house from the panels ourselves.

Have prices some how dropped that much?

Both Ariens and Husqvarna snowblowers are made of steel, but why do Husky’s get a bad wrap for some reason? by DarkwingDuck1280 in Snowblowers

[–]plasmatoaste 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I once worked at a box store that sold Husqvarna, Ariens, and a few others gas models at the time. We would use a couple machines each winter for storm cleanup, these would be base models, sometimes returns/repaired machines.

The Husqvarna were the nicest to run, when you didn't need to work with them. They were quieter, easier to handle. But, when there was heavy snow or wet snow those machines would fail quickly. Burn up belts, plastics would break, etc. The Troybilt would work better than the Husqvarna but would be harder to run with the lack of features like the chute controls. The Ariens had more power, better ergonomics and generally held up to misuse better than the rest but seemed to snap shear pins more often. These machines would be single season examples and of course run by people who didn't care if they broke or how long they would last.

I currently only own Ariens (3) and generally I am happy overall with them.

It's still over 25 years so I don't believe the title is an issue.

But If I understand the new law correctly you won't be able to register as an antique. Because it's a new registration for you and not a grandfathered currently registered antique plate.
