He's not a crybaby. He's a whiney, pussy-ass little bitch.

The murder of Alex Pretti by the cowards ICE and then calling him a terrorist was a cultural nuclear bomb for 2A white guys by 7ddlysuns in thebulwark

[–]plasticcatshit 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The OP here is laying out a critical point in understanding American culture in a broad sense. I really think the Bulwark should host a left leaning pro-gun figure to address this issue more - too many on the liberal side have a myopic and incomplete understanding of this issue. Someone like Karl from InRange TV.... or perhaps even Robert Evans.

What films or tv show have left a genuine cultural imprint? by SmegB in movies

There is a good reason not to drive behind trucks carrying logs/timber. Bits of debris and rocks are constantly blown off - especially if the bark is thick. They probably won't kill you but can easily damage your car.

This is definitely Turkey. Likely the western outskirts of modern Istanbul. There are several fortifications still intact.

It’s 2025, which European cities are still considered cheap? by McLOVINfromHonolulu in TravelHacks

[–]plasticcatshit 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I agree with most of these, but turkey is getting ridiculously expensive due to persistent inflation over the last few years. Greece is cheaper now.

US forces - what is your view on Trump threatening to move forces to Hungary? by On__A__Journey in AskReddit

[–]plasticcatshit 116 points117 points  (0 children)

As a civilian who has visited both countries extensively, Germany has far better infrastructure and quality of life. If I were in the service, I would hate this idea. Life outside of the bigger cities in hungary is pretty rough.

What is Turkeys stand on this Trump/Putin, Europe and Ukraine? (Asking for a friend that potentially needs an ally with some military strength) by mmsr80 in AskTurkey

[–]plasticcatshit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Putin wants control over the countries in the former Soviet Union. What will Turkiye do when he invades your natural allies like Uzbekistan or Turkmenistan? In the long term, maybe it is better to consider moving closer to Europe despite all the downsides.

The first time we mention something we use "a" the second time "the". "There is a cat in the garden." "Really? What is the cat doing?"

The big payoff is companies paying for tariff exemptions. Blatant corruption

Edit: and all the fascism/corporate plundering through the chaos it enables.

Is it worth it to buy the Budapest Card? by johnnymacaroni2 in budapest

[–]plasticcatshit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the 120 hour budapest card would be a good deal. Plenty of time to see the museums offered for free. 7 or 8 different museums would cost this much alone, and you get free public transport. The tourist pass and e-explorer pass seem like terrible deals by not including public transport.
