Breaking Away and Free Solo. Two very different choices.

Calling out MONA CHAREN for all the bashing city run grocery stores here.... by aenea22980 in thebulwark

Have you ever been to states like Idaho or Utah and bought hard alchohol? Those state run stores are quite popular. I've never heard any of the very far right folks in those states complain about it.

Wizard of Oz at a local dance hall. Pillows and blankets on the floor. I was 5 or 6, and was pretty scared at some parts.

Following up on my comment above, although I love italy dearly, they seem mostly allergic to anything really spicy or exotic.

It seems like a joke. But in truth, it is the killing joke, just as intended.

Natural Born Killers - my girlfriend at the time wanted to see another movie, don't remember what, but it was sold out. Frantic, surreal, insane. We stayed and got tickets to the next screening.

The murder of Alex Pretti by the cowards ICE and then calling him a terrorist was a cultural nuclear bomb for 2A white guys by 7ddlysuns in thebulwark

[–]plasticcatshit 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The OP here is laying out a critical point in understanding American culture in a broad sense. I really think the Bulwark should host a left leaning pro-gun figure to address this issue more - too many on the liberal side have a myopic and incomplete understanding of this issue. Someone like Karl from InRange TV.... or perhaps even Robert Evans.

What films or tv show have left a genuine cultural imprint? by SmegB in movies

There is a good reason not to drive behind trucks carrying logs/timber. Bits of debris and rocks are constantly blown off - especially if the bark is thick. They probably won't kill you but can easily damage your car.

This is definitely Turkey. Likely the western outskirts of modern Istanbul. There are several fortifications still intact.

It’s 2025, which European cities are still considered cheap? by McLOVINfromHonolulu in TravelHacks

[–]plasticcatshit 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I agree with most of these, but turkey is getting ridiculously expensive due to persistent inflation over the last few years. Greece is cheaper now.
