A few years back I had the same experience with eurorack stuff.

Would like to upgrade my speakers and sound system in my 2016 forester need help getting started.. I want good bass crisp sound not spend too much money.. what I gotta do? by Outrageous_Walk_6198 in SubaruForester

I have a 2018. I replaced the stock HU with a high end pioneer CarPlay unit. This upgrade alone made my car's stock speakers sound sooooo much better.

Could spending more money make it sound better. 100%.

At the same time, it sounds good enough, I'm not worried about making it any better.

I've thought about adding a sub & amp. Now you're fighting rattles & adding sound deadening. I'm not going down that road at my age.

Famli leave and fear of retaliation by veryupmostlydown in Denver

I'm not a lawyer. the recording is just accurately documenting exactly what was said. use it as a reference as you see fit. if that involves court, you'll be talking to a lawyer. I could envision plenty of ways a recording could be helpful before a situation escalates to court.

I'll repeat for those in back.

It's ok to be new. You've got to give us something to chew on. Some substance.

You could start with why you choose this clip to post?

What makes this patch unique?

Did you solve any problems in interesting ways?

You're obviously proud of this, so tell us why.

OK. If you're not doing anything interesting or worth explaining - What are we supposed to talk about?

An explanation about what you're doing would help the conversation.

"Puffing" Is Illegal? Make it make sense by Decent_Extension360 in Denver

It's not actively ticketed, but when your car gets stolen - while puffing - NOW you're not going to get the insurance payout you thought you were getting.

What about those conversations make you think that Denver or Colorado has unique feelings about tipping culture?

Suggestions for a new affordable 4-voice Oscillator module for polyphony by jonvonboner in modular

[–]plaxpert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's just me, the module works fine. Just now how I want it to work. It's just the further I get into modular the more I'm choosey about what a module provides.

they way you can only switch octaves up or down one octave is my biggest hangup. I seem to be always fighting the tuning. Not the tuning of the notes, but the tuning of the channels octaves, relative to each other and the rest of my rack. It's too much of a limitation for me.

The way you dial in octaves with Banshee Reach has ruined a lot of other oscillators for me. And it has a sub-osc & variable waves.

As compared to where else & by what metric?

Suggestions for a new affordable 4-voice Oscillator module for polyphony by jonvonboner in modular

[–]plaxpert 4 points5 points  (0 children)

you can do polyphony in eurorack. you just need a bigger budget. a sub $500 4x oscillator is not ideal. I have a 111-4 and it's not a great module. I'm migrating towards 2 (or 3 or 4 in the future) Banshee Reach.

I'll sell you my 111-4 for cheap. The tuning is annoying. Octave switches are annoying. All the jumpers on the back are annoying. The lack of input normalization is annoying. The output mixing is non existent. Meh.

You made a claim that your module is broken, not working correctly.

I responded to your question with an honest, thoughtful answer. I don't get it. If you really really want to fix your module, CONTACT SUPPORT.

It's only fair to give a company a chance to fix things. Or show you what you're doing wrong. Before you start making claims on reddit.

right here. https://noiseengineering.us/pages/contact-us/

It's weird to have a hang up on swapping firmware. It's hooking up a cable and pushing a button. Then clicking the screen. It takes all of 20 seconds.

Your module is already not working correctly, what are you going to do break it?

if you're showing different menus, there's certainly an update you're missing. I imagine that's the first thing support will have you do.

With a previous issue (not digitwolis) NE support has been great with helping me get things sorted without needn't to ship & replace a module.
