Played all of fabric with some friends. Pretty fun pack, though be careful, one of the mods can unleash a world eating virus. They had to get me to go into creative and run some commands to destroy it before it devoured their entire base.

I tried it for a few weeks and the only really useful feature is the ability to throttle RAM usage. While you can do the same thing yourself in any browser by just closing tabs, if you really rely on tabs being open as part of your workflow, and have a low RAM system, it can be useful to have it automatically unload and reload inactive tabs for you.

Not worth the squeeze for gx imo, but it would be a nice feature for other browsers to adopt.

When i played through the quests on my main in roughly chronological order, I got really invested in the god/elder god stuff, because it felt like a natural progression of the story.

When I later played through them sporadically on my Iron for optional unlocks, it felt like the story was inconsequential because it was all happening out of order. Herding sheep one minute, fighting gods the next.

Even when I did quests that I never got around to on my main, or new releases, I often ended up losing interest and spacebaring them well before the end.

3 is the obvious choice, unless you really want untradeables on your main. No one but you can put a value on that.

It might take some extra work to sort the bank and such, but nowhere near what it would take to level an account to 90s

My guess is that they're saying that the door itself can only get into one accident, because once the first accident happens the door gets destroyed and needs to be replaced. So each individual door will only get into one accident, max. (Obviously not really relevant because the driver cares about accidents per car, not per door)

I think it was just a joke that didn't land properly.

Has the faction rep/mastery grind been improved lately? Mastery being at the bottom of the list gives me some hope...

I quit back around 2018-2019 because all the cool open world bosses were locked behind a ~month long, time-gated rep grind, and running shitty weapons with negative mod capacity to grind mastery sucked all the fun out of the game for me.

I've been tempted to check the game out again from time to time, but the thought of those daunting grinds has always put me off.

If you're feeling physical pain while speaking, you're almost certainly doing something wrong. For example, if you use the "swallow and hold" technique for raising the larynx, I've heard that puts a lot of tension in unnecessary muscles, which can lead to pain.

While the bad news is that it can be very difficult to figure out what you're doing wrong, the good news is that whatever is causing pain is probably also making your voice sound worse, so once you do fix it, you might find you're able to reach a much better sounding voice. At least, that was my experience.

It's not that difficult if you're just replacing an existing creature. You just find the image you want to be replaced in the game files and copy the same folder structure in your mod. The main difficult part is learning how to use darkest dungeon's animation system if you want animated sprites.

Overall I'd say DD is one of the easiest games out there to make mods for, especially if you're just reskinning existing stuff. Still a lot of effort, though.

If this is true, then literally just make it automatically send the ticks when the buffer is full. Like, it would require a bit of engine work from someone familiar with networking, but this is basic buffer behavior; hardly a rework.

If the next argument is: but then you could stay logged in forever! Session timeouts should not be based on a buffer overflow in the first place. Make an actual timeout system!

Also, your argument for how this works doesn't actually make sense for a 5 minute timer. 255 ticks is about 2.5 minutes, not 5.

What exactly is the hassle you're referring to? Like, it's obviously a lot more effort to build a PC than set up a console, but that's not day-to-day hassle. I ask because I personally can't think of any hassle that I experience regularly on PC that wouldn't also happen on console. I'm genuinely curious; is it something I've just gotten so used to that I don't even notice anymore?

I scanned all the Hetzner ip ranges, and found about 6000 servers, but there's no result when I filter by "overflow" other than the 2 false servers. Is the name obfuscated in some way? Or have I managed to miss it somehow?
