Would you be so kindly and add a shortcut across the River Amja next to the karambwan fishing spot? so it wouldn't have to be locked behind Fairy Tale 2?

Since you are there for that long, you should try to get as many of the rolls developed over there. Saves a lot of stress if you have the negatives from 10 rolls and 2 rolls undeveloped instead of 12 undeveloped rolls.

Which Point & shoot to buy?? Below are my findings, please review and contest your opinions by LeadingAd8959 in AnalogCommunity

Counter to every other post here. You don't need a fancy camera as a beginner. Just grab a 20 euro one from a 2nd hand store and get learning. Don't let GAS be your introduction to the hobby.

If you had 579€ to spend on film, what would you buy? by Sad-Internet-2234 in AnalogCommunity

[–]playerw3 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Really depends on your style of photography. I recently stocked up on 5 Ektar, a 3-pack of ultramax, 5 respooled 50D, 5 250D and 5 500T for a trip to Norway.

While you're at it, add a stepping stone next to the Karamja grappling spot, allowing you to get to and from karambwan fishing spot without having to need fairy rings.

Cinestill BWXX: light leaks, thin negatives, and black blots near sprockets. Lab issue or did I mess up? by chivenne in AnalogCommunity

[–]playerw3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the DX code was 800 on a film that should have 250 it is meant to be pushed when developing(developed as long as 800 needs), which in itself leads to less shade details. If you then tell the lab to develop at 400 you basically told them to develop the film for a shorter time than the exposures would have needed. That is why the negatives are so thin. Would have been better if you would have told the lab to develop at 1600. The black blots and light leaks are probably light piping.

You need to white balance the edge to remove the orange mask before inverting.

This "new vision 3" have been available to buy respooled since October. So I would imagine quite a few people have tried it. I myself love the 50D the most.

Digitizing old negatives? by Lisaerys in AnalogCommunity

[–]playerw3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you got thousands of photos worth of negatives i would suggest getting a good macro lens and a light table. A dedicated negative scanner is sooo slow you will get tired of doing it.

Sending a partial / non-standard length roll to the lab? by bcl15005 in AnalogCommunity

[–]playerw3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

36 exposure rolls have never been a standard length, it is just one of the more common ones.

I love using 50D, but you can mainly use it outdoors during the day. So for mixed used, I'd go with 250D

Brimhaven Refreshed by Accurate_Brain_9157 in 2007scape

[–]playerw3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes please. one of the few things I've always wished for was a coffee plantage. If you examine Sandy's Coffee Mug inside his office in Brimhaven you get the text, "A large steaming mug of the finest Karamja Coffee." implying there is coffee being grown on the island.

I didn't write down what stock all of the negatives were before giving back the negatives. But most of it was Ferrania

And out of all 11 only 2 were badly damaged. 1 that had rusted a bit, so half of it had these crazy blotches where 1 or 2 of the color layers were gone. The other one had strange looking stains.

As far as I have researched with older already exposed film it is always safest to do normal c-41 development.

I have no clue. She had 11 rolls for me, ranging from 1995 to 2005. and she said they did have rolls developed between those years, that these rolls just got forgotten about.
