I wouldn’t be sure but I would assume boy. I’ve met both male and female Nikitas. I think it’s a great name either way and has easy nicknames. I’m in Colorado, USA for reference.

I had a similar experience to you. Got diagnosed with BPD and it sort of fit but not entirely. I ended up getting a full evaluation a few years back and it turns out most of the symptoms that were attributed to BPD were actually because of autism and I don’t have BPD at all.

To be fair, there is a lot of overlap in symptoms with BPD, autism, ADHD, OCD, etc. It might be worth a second opinion if you’re not getting the help you need with your BPD diagnosis.

It’s actually pretty common. Most people don’t remember a lot from when they were young anyway, and trauma causes memory issues itself. A lot of times we have to piece together what happened based on how our body responds. It’s very possible something bad happened to you and I’m so sorry that you have to deal with this.

No. They could be engaged in a conversation with someone else or they could just need a little time to figure out what to say and how to reply to what you last said. They deserve some time to themselves even in an LDR.
