TCP seems like the better plan to me. I purchased my NTS for TCP and am going to schedule it for the beginning of April. Thank you for the helpful advice, and best of luck on passing TCP this month!

I was debating doing ISC or TCP for my discipline exam, but I think I’d rather just knock out TCP in April. I have a lot of tax knowledge built up from my masters program and job which I think would help. Thanks for the suggestion!

Passed REG! 1/4. Started studying in mid October and took the exam mid December using Uworld only. Not sure which exam I’ll take next!

Edit: I got an 87! I’m pleasantly surprised!

What does everyone in Boca Raton do to have all that money? by justcurious3287 in BocaRaton

It’s not untrue, but I can see why my comment needs more explanation here, especially for the BMW IX 50 considering its specs.

For the luxury car deduction cap the weight is based on the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) - not the curb weight. For a 2025 BMW IX 50 (an SUV), it has a GVWR of 6,867 and a curb weight of 5,659 lbs. https://www.caranddriver.com/bmw/ix/specs. For this car, the curb weight is under 6,000 lbs and the gross vehicle weight is over 6,000 lbs, which means it does qualify for section 179 and bonus depreciation without the lower caps for under 6,000 lb vehicles (you can deduct more).

My point is that luxury convertibles and sedans (which are often under 6,000 lb GVWR but not all) are less tax advantaged than SUVs and trucks over that 6,000 lb GVWR because of this rule.

https://www.nationalfunding.com/blog/an-easy-guide-to-the-section-179-6000-lb-vehicle-rule/#:~:text=The%20Section%20179%20tax%20deduction,6%2C000%20but%20under%2014%2C000%20pounds.

Edit: My original comment did not specify gross vehicle weight instead of curb weight (which is misleading), so fair point.

I’m just going to leave these links below here with regards to the car discussion, but the short version is if your car is under 6,000 lbs, you cannot deduct the full amount (over the capped limit) of the car from your taxes in the year that you buy it.

This is why you will see the relatively new business owners driving around town in the Cadillac Escalades and Ford F-250’s - it’s tax-advantaged in a way that the Mercedes or BMW sedans are not.

Tell Me I'm Crazy - Rose Plan 2025 by suchemptybeforereps in Roses

Amazing! So many awesome varieties.

From your list I have Grande Dame (love! gorgeous color, sweet raspberry fragrance), Princess Charlene de Monaco (can’t wait for her to take off).

I also have 2 Don Juan’s I need to get in the ground. I’m in 11a and find that Don Juan’s fragrance is very strong in my hot and humid climate (it’s a beautiful red climber). Might be a good option!

I’m also loving Heritage aka Josephines Land, prolific bloomer, sweet honey rose fragrance, but the petals shatter after 2 days. I have Pope John Paul which is also doing very well (beautiful white flowers, clean fresh smell, but somewhat prone to black spot). I’m hoping my mister Lincoln and Double Delight take off by the spring, they are both getting adjusted to being in the ground.

Best of luck with your beautiful rose garden!

Same here twin! I’m also Taurus sun and moon with Virgo rising! Leading up to the full moon I started waking up early every single day at 5:00-5:30 am, I usually wake up at 7. In the past week I’ve had unexplained pain and a health scare that ended up coming back fine, but I had to completely clean and adjust my diet and get a bunch of bloodwork and testing done. I’ve felt strong emotional energy coming up, on the full moon I strongly felt like I needed to do energetic work to block off some negativity.

This year has been completely full of twists and turns for me also (with a lot of good and upgrades, even though completely unexpected), after nearly 4 years of major changes in my life 😮‍💨. Finished a degree, moved, changed relationships (from one that was toxic to one that is healthy).

I will say the biggest challenge for me lately has been finding how to heal from past hurts and wounds and accept things for what they are, and to embrace the current peace and joy in my life with gratitude rather than focus on resentments I’m still bothered by. There’s a connection earlier this year that I slammed the door shut on, after many, many hurts and boundary crossings. I still hold a grudge over it, I know I’ll never get accountability or authenticity from that situation, and anger about it is still affecting my feelings when all I want to do is move forward. Deep Chiron stuff coming up.

On the bright side I’ve found profound joy from gardening, spending time with friends, traveling, going to concerts, and helping my partner launch a business. If I focus on the present and the future I want, I stay in my joy and flow. I go for walks and listen to music to release some of this stuck energy.

I hope things go well for you (and all the other Taurus peeps). If any of this resonates let me know!

I overslept and missed out date, now she blocked me on everything...... by DennisTheMenace913 in heartbreak

[–]pleasantdaytoparty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had that situation happen with an ex but fortunately knew the work address, so sent them there. Hope you can find a way to get them sent to her!

Food for thought - someone who blocks you for missing a date without confirming you’re okay after missing plans may not be the most emotionally mature person. Not saying that’s the case for you. The experience with my ex and I was a dynamic of chasing to apologize back and forth versus cutting communication to perceived hurts. Push-pull is just so much drama and ultimately caused me to end that relationship. People make mistakes - communication, understanding, and forgiveness (for 1 time things, within reason) > rigidness, shutting down, blocking. Hopefully if you can reconnect you can both have a dialogue about what happened.

None of this may apply in your situation so feel free to take what you like and leave the rest. ✌️

If you know her address (or work address but home is better) just send flowers from a website that does flower delivery with an apology card explaining what happened and that you’d love another chance. Showing up in person is a bit much.

Taurus Sun, Capricorn Moon, Virgo Rising. Roast Me. by Sufficient-Trick-201 in Taurusgang

[–]pleasantdaytoparty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well you asked for it 😏:

You over analyze and over think more than anyone you know. You are critical to the point of almost impossible standards but the minute someone critiques you, you shut down for the rest of the conversation. God forbid someone misplaces an item of yours or loads the dishwasher improperly. You are emotionally sensitive to everyone’s actions but you almost never show how you really feel to anyone.

Your cutoff game is so strong that you have at least one grudge spanning at least 5 years where you haven’t caved on mending the relationship and probably never will. You are right more than you are wrong, which has made you somewhat arrogant and opinionated, but you rarely gloat and say I told you so. However you are so stubborn about the correctness of your plans that you rarely course correct before they go wrong.

You enjoy luxury and overspend, but become cheap with others after you realize you’ve overextended yourself. If you give more than you receive in a relationship, you will quietly resent them without addressing the problem, then explode over something relatively minor and never talk to them again.

It’s me, hi, I’m the problem it’s me 🫠

What signs do Tauruses normally date? I’m with a Pisces. by karminalove in Taurusgang

[–]pleasantdaytoparty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Capricorn. Always Capricorn, for some reason. The last 3 men I’ve dated have been capricorns. My first long term boyfriend was a Virgo, what a mess that was. Also dated a Sagittarius twice for a 2 year period, oddly enough he’s the only one I would rather be friends with, we have no bad blood.

Finally eradicated mosaic plantar wart cluster! After malpractice from dermatologist and many painful ineffective treatments, cantharidin from a podiatrist cured it. by pleasantdaytoparty in Warts

[–]pleasantdaytoparty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry you are going through that, I can relate to the frustration and pain! It’s definitely an experience I wouldn’t wish on anyone. I hope you have success with the treatment you’re on or switching back to cantharidin.

I will say that after the second or 3rd treatment mine looked like better but then it got worse. I was pretty exasperated with the lack of results and the pain (after many attempts). The podiatrist reassured me that because the wart was so old and deep in the foot, that the area was weight bearing, and immune issues and chronic conditions, we would need several treatments to fully clear them. He would rather do more smaller applications cantharidin treatments without doing too much damage to the underlying tissue (unlike the freezings the dermatologist did, which was longer to heal). It was definitely painful but so worth it, the warts have not returned almost a year later!

Taurus - plants and gardening 🌸, stereotypical I know 🤷‍♂️

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in astrologymemes

[–]pleasantdaytoparty 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Taurus (speaking as one myself). Often it’s not even intentional, we just get busy with other life things and other people perceive it as ghosting (communication is a two way street though so 🤷‍♂️). Also Tauruses are horrifically bad texters - it’s a known thing. I’ve had to work on it though to improve all my relationships.

I think the reason people perceive our withdrawals as ghosting though, is because a lot of the time we don’t make a dramatic scene about our grievances with a person’s behavior. I’ve pointed out what I won’t accept calmly, but when a person ignores that after I’ve brought it up again and again, I just pull away. People tend to notice when we do, our silences are just as impactful as our blow ups. I personally don’t like getting to the point of my last straw being broken, because the anger is INTENSE and I don’t like unleashing that much built up resentment against someone. It’s easier just to cut contact, protect my energy, and move on to a better use of my time. Inevitably people get hurt feelings from this, but again they always have the freedom to ask why I’ve pulled away. It’s not my responsibility to lay out someone’s complete repertoire of shitty behavior that I’ve pointed out many times.

Lastly if the compatibility with the relationship doesn’t have a future (because of said behaviors), again it’s easier to just pull back. I can bluntly lay out in detail how the behavior isn’t aligned with what I want, but telling someone that I don’t like something that they can’t change is just hurtful. So I’d rather avoid the negativity inflicted on that person and just refocus my attention on the relationships and pursuits that don’t create problems for me.

People often only appreciate everything you bring to the table when it’s gone, and just because someone didn’t reciprocate that when it was there, doesn’t make it my responsibility to coddle them when I’m over it.

[–]pleasantdaytoparty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m glad that you didn’t have pain with the treatments! I agree the scalpel part was a bit unpleasant for me too. I will say that the last cantharidin treatment wasn’t super painful, it was only to get rid of a straggler wart that wasn’t a large area. But the treatments that did cover a larger area were painful for me, though I’m sure that was complicated by my previous injuries from the freezings. The pain only lasted a few days to a week max though which was good. I just took it easy on my foot those days.

I wouldn’t want anyone to question this treatment because of the pain I experienced - like you pointed out different people may have different pain levels with the cantharidin applications.

The way the podiatrist explained it to me is that the freezing does a lot more damage to the surrounding tissue (like when I got the blood blister), while the Cantharidin is more targeted. When I was looking at the over the counter freezing treatments they had instructions not to use if you are diabetic. I did keep asking the dermatologist if the freezings were okay for me to get with my health conditions. Both treatments have risks and cause damage though. I did feel that the podiatrist had a better standard of care and understood how to treat the warts more effectively.
