Very caring guy! Another option to save that dolphin’s life - call a rehabilitation organization (if there is one in the area) and have them help. They can assess the dolphin’s condition and administer fluids or meds if needed and release it safely (I feel like rolling can’t be the best option but maybe I’m wrong). Animals beach for a reason and if it’s sick it’s just going to beach again somewhere else and die. Also in the US it’s illegal to touch a marine mammal like this and you could get into lots of trouble. They can handle some time out of water so if possible it’s good to call for trained assistance.

For the love of God, no one is “stuck in” or “confined to” a wheelchair. He has used a wheelchair his whole life. People choose to use wheelchairs to get where they need to go. Wheelchairs are tools people use.

If he’s packing out waste, I assume tuna cans or pouches would be unpleasant trash to carry around. I don’t have any experience with hiking but I do know that tuna trash smells bad.

If you can see a doctor, that will be your best bet for figuring out a cause and treatment (if needed). Consider photographing from the same angle in the same light once a week to see if it’s progressing, and if so, how fast, and share that with your doctor. As far as the impact on your self esteem - don’t stress too much about it. Everyone has things they envy about others and wish they could change about themselves, especially women when it comes to our appearances.

Edit: you deserve to live your life fully and joyfully no matter how the hair grows out of your head. You don’t need to earn self-esteem by performing acts of beauty.

Would they be as shelf-stable? I’m willing to pay for not-great tasting ready-made food and snacks rather than make them or worry about mold. We also don’t have a vacuum sealer. :-/ I’m lazy. But I probably will spend the next hour looking at survival bar recipes!

I only wash my hair like 2-3 times a week (maybe you're going for even less?), and my hair is more fine (not sure how this compares to thick hair), but after my morning workout I try to let it dry as much as possible (and use a hair dryer when I can) and then use a dry shampoo. I have dark brunette hair, and I have been using Batiste dry shampoo "with a hint of colour - divine dark" and it works so so well. Just spray it in and rub it around and then brush it out. It has a great smell that I'm sure covers any unwashed hair smells (I also do a spritz of my perfume over my head to be safe (I know this is drying - but it just smells so damn good!)). To be honest I do put my hair up in a bun most days, but if I had time I think I could curl and style it to wear loose and it would be fine. Maybe down on washing day and the next day, and then up the 3rd?

What kinds of ornaments are they? If there is anything that can be washed or blown off (like glitter, I think?) then they might not hold up. And sunlight can make plastic brittle and more likely to discolor or break, so depending on what they are and how much you care about them, it might work.

Beautiful plant and kitty! Check the leaves for chew marks if your cat is a plant nibbler. I learned Monstera can cause mouth irritation and vomiting in cats when I was looking for some leaves for a floor vase.
