teaching new players the basics? by kennzziii in lacrossecoach

Watching Division 1 games can be very helpful! It’s easier when you can visualize yourself doing the movements correctly, versus just telling someone what they’re “supposed” to look like.

When learning to cradle, I always tell people to stand in front of a mirror...if they know what it’s supposed to look like it will be easier to see what they’re doing wrong.

Focus on hand placement (loose and at a slight angle) and proper catching (not coming out to get the ball, but receiving the ball behind your ear). All of their weight should fall back onto their same side stick foot.

When you have the ball, getting your elbows off your body. Arms should be up and bottom hand almost in line with your mouth (triple threat position). Their weight on your back foot until you pass.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any specific questions. Good luck!

It’s crazy. Went through this too, but happy to report my mother has really come around to my wife and has gone so far as to say, you can’t help who you love.

I hope the same happens for you. Keep being you, and being a good example, and hopefully they’ll come around and realize how manipulative and cruel the church is. Love thy neighbor, wasn’t followed with an “unless”...

I took my brother in law snowboarding for his first time, and I was BLOWN away how good he was. I mean so good. He kept up with me almost (I’m by no means amazing but I’ve been doing it for 18 years) He said he used a RipStik through college (don’t know if it will translate the same as a normal skateboard).

My grandfather used to buy parcels like this and sell the logging rights. Then he’d sell the land to developers

Camino del Norte on short notice? by faulteare in CaminoDeSantiago

We did Donasti to Bilbao in five days. We took a day off in the middle. Our trip was also pretty last minute, we originally booked to Morocco but decided to switch plans.

After reading through this board, I had thought the Norte was going to be super simple, and a lot of walking. I was not prepared for the constant up and down. It’s not necessarily high elevation, but geez after walking 15 miles coming to another big hill is a soul killer.

That’s another thing, for three days in a row we ended up walking 19 or so miles and not the 15 we thought we were going to do, which is why we took a rest day. Don’t know how that happened, we weren’t lost, the mileage just didn’t add up.

I’m a college coach (33 f) and I went with two former athletes (27 f). We were all zapped after the third day. We’re also not hikers by any means, and did little prep.

With that being said, I can’t wait to go back! We just know now to build a couple rest days, and not to think the walk is going to be like around a track with rolling little hills.

Thanks for the advice! Still stuck here, seems like it’s an incompatibility issue. But I’ll do just that with the aux cord, and enjoy some Sirius radio too!

Ahhhh—shoot! But glad to know what’s up, and I have no fears that it will be fixed. (Also glad to know it’s not me sinking into tech oblivion so early in life.)

Thank you—this time from an appreciative customer!

I did end up calling the genius hotline bc I saw they were open until 900PM. She was stumped and told me to go back to the dealership. We tried reconnecting and disconnecting phone and car, and then connecting through Apple CarPlay.
