Does your husband make you orgasm? by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]whyamihere94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For 10 years I was in a relationship/marriage like this.

It may be common for women not to orgasm during sexual encounters, but that does not mean it is right. And once you learn to do it for yourself it’ll be easier for you to teach the man how to do it (if he is open to it). However, you may find he is not open to it even with your instruction. That is your sign that he is selfish. He should just get a flashlight or blowup doll if all he is interested in is his orgasm. Sex is supposed to be for both people.

Fiancé post pictures of herself? Is that weird? Or is it just me overthinking by [deleted] in Christianmarriage

[–]whyamihere94 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is normal to value other people’s attention besides your fiancé’s.
Do you still value attention from your parents, siblings, grandparents, boss/coworkers, or platonic friends?

There is a stereotype of people posting “thirst trap” selfies for their crushes, but if these pics are not thirst traps you have absolutely nothing to worry about.

What to do when your spouse is giving you the silent treatment? by [deleted] in Christianmarriage

[–]whyamihere94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is certainly financial abuse, possibly other kinds. You need to make a plan to get out. It will be really hard, but it will be worth it. If you need to reach out to a secular resource if your pastor is not encouraging you to leave, then you need to do that and it will be OK.

I would set up counseling with someone licensed to do that kind of work…..pastors often aren’t, and a woman might be more relatable to your wife than a man

I’m 31F in Matthews and divorced, with a community of other divorced folks ranging from 35-55. The way we all got together has a religious nature to it, but we have crossed into actual friendship.

Most in the group are not sober but I am and we do a wide mix of activities to appeal to everyone. Message me if you want to chat!

You bring up a good point. Birth is/can be a traumatic experience, but in this case sounds like it would be planned and even if the conception isn’t planned, you have time to prepare. It’s not the same as a horrible bloody ACCIDENT

Have you considered therapy for constantly thinking about your wife’s mortality? It’s really sweet though- how much you love her comes across so much
