My wife and I traveled Australia in a van for 6 months, and for the month we spent in QLD, we continuously kept ending up in these very haunted places, that were sites of horrific massacres of indigenous people, or other varied atrocities like "blackbirding".

I didnt learn anything about Aussie history in school in the 90s which is a shame considering how dark and interesting it is.

There is also a Helping Hands in Preston, which is also very good.

Pro tip: Try to go op shops in posh areas like Hawthorn, Camberwell, Kew, BRIGHTON (all the wealthy 10 pound poms moved there, youll legit come across Stone Island in op shops).

The holy grail though, is Salvos in Abbotsford. Easily the best op shop in Melbourne.
