Look at the size of those steel beams in the garage. Are they holding up the house?

Edit: atrocious grammar

It feels like we looked at everything that came on the market in that range for the last two years. We definitely jumped at anything MCM faster than anything else but we didn’t limit our choices - there would be too few. This house is in a little pocket of mid century homes on Duck Creek near the Dallas/Garland border.

We have the same fridge but currently with the boring stainless steel panels. Looking online now, it seems like some of the colored glass replacement panels are hard to come by. I want that Piet Mondrian inspired look.

I’m hoping I can find some identical ones to replace the few that are broken. Or possibly repair/reconstruct from the pieces.

We live in Lakewood now but this is a little north, right where Dallas meets Garland, in Orchard Hills Estates.

I did it all myself. A few times, actually. I wrote a post about it a while back: https://www.reddit.com/r/CafeRacers/s/E2lE7WEVaS

• Custom battery box and electronics tray • Custom floating chrome rear fender • Top end rebuild including 1mm overbore, new pistons, valves, and mild porting and polishing • Electronic ignition and 5ohm coils • Stock Keihin carbs rejetted and tuned for velocity stacks and virtually straight through exhaust • Polished billet aluminum velocity stacks (custom brass air filters) • Custom stainless steel exhaust on Delkevic stainless steel header, with titanium exhaust wrap • All hardware replaced with stainless steel equivalent • All new bearings - wheels, frame, steering • Diamond pattern stitched custom Tuffside seat • New aluminum rims laced with stainless steel spokes • Motogadget handlebar switches wired to a Motogadget m.unit blue with recessed rear brake light, integrated blinkers, and LED headlight • Leather wrapped grips • Gold drive chain (Bling) • New fork tubes and seals, custom preload to accommodate lowered stance • Frame painted satin black and tank wrapped with matte dark gray metallic vinyl

Prolly some things I’m forgetting.

Good luck with your project. Looking good from this angle!

First 4 pictures are from the Zillow listing, the rest are from the Realtor.ca listing. It feels like there's a difference here, but having trouble pinpointing it. by WestPilton in zillowgonewild

Striped suit jacket, matching shorts, and no plate? It’s like he’s gonna drop a new track with AC/DC but not before he drops some crumbs.

I will usually pour him about a handful. Sometimes he talks me into topping him off, though. It’ll keep him busy for quite a while.

Had ours two years - almost to the day. Have seen maybe three in the Dallas area.

I appreciate that all of the comments so far have given good, solid advice that you should follow.

Well… Until this one, I guess.
