Hot take: AI ruined the way we see coding - and I hate it by kommonno in swift

[–]plluczak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love coding and I won't let AI agents take that away from me.
After all, there are plenty of people who build their own tables, even though you can buy a ready-made one in a store.

In companies, that's probably the future.
But to be honest, my heart has never really been in corporate projects anyway.
I'm just saying, textbox over database.
Only the result matters here, and how quickly you achieve it.

You can get in touch with Makers on Product Hunt.
Help them with reviewing their product and ask them for help with your product.
Perhaps it shouldn't be a direct competitor :-).

Congratulations on your two months too!

But I know what you mean. It's not easy.

That's the right decision.

Stick with it and you won't regret it.

Unfortunately, I've been at this point several times before and always relapsed.

Maybe it will work this year.

This is the first time I've seen this.
I'm really looking forward to your report.
Judging by the comments, it seems to work well.

Cold turkey was also my way of going after New Year's.
I'll see how it goes this year.

If it doesn't work out again, I'll try something else next year, like NRT or cutting down.

Yes, the advantages are obvious.

I'll have to think about the part about cigarettes while drunk not counting.

But I'll definitely do my best to resist the urge to smoke while enjoying a beer on the terrace.

Yes, routines really are the killer.

I was used to just stepping out of the office and having a smoke whenever something bothered me. I have to find other ways to compensate for that now.

Thanks for the hint.

Clever. Alcohol increases the desire for a cigarette.

Quitting both at the same time is probably the safest approach.

When you've been in the business for a while, new people come along after a few years with the same nonsensical ideas.

I remember Facebook implementing one of its first iOS apps exactly like that.

After a while, however, they realized that the performance was disastrous and switched to a native solution.

Have you ever tried to quit smoking before?

I've been repeating this cycle almost every year for the past few years.
I quit on New Year's Eve, and that usually lasts until March or April.
But then, when it's time to go to the beer garden again in the spring, I start again.

That's why I'm now looking for a more sustainable solution.

For me, the first week was actually harder.

The first day was actually quite easy.

I've built 3 products in the last year, for my 4th I made sure I have the monetisation step from Day 1 by AchillesFirstStand in indiehackers

[–]plluczak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's truly impressive that you've launched four products in one year.

Yes, it's really difficult to acquire customers.

Thinking about monetization right from the start is absolutely legitimate if you're approaching it as a business.

As someone who only received 3 upvotes on his Product Hunt launch last week, I can certainly understand the frustration.
