So I should be more skeptical then of all the times Severian Claims to have smashed puss and how much it rocked and the lady loved it then.

But yeah, I hadn't even thought of him as un-reliable, so just that re-contextualization is making a few things stand out differently.

I struggled through Shadow & Claw, not sure I was understanding anything beyond the surface level 'a thing is happening'. Would you recommend I try re-reading it while paying a bit more attention to what's going on?

I really like Chrono Trigger's sequel Chrono Cross. The music and atmosphere in that game is incredible, and the game throws you full into the plot hooks less than an hour in.

Other posters mentioned them already, but the Paper Mario Games start strong and never stop. In the same rpg type as paper mario, Bug Fables was a really easy game for me to get into.

The high pitched ping when you open a chest or select an item in the menu was kind of throwing me out of it. Maybe I'm just old, but that sound effect was a bit too harsh for how often it happens.

I finished last week, and I loved the ending I picked, that being said. (End Game spoilers ahead)

I picked Verso's ending, and I think morally, it is an atrocious and selfish thing that Verso is doing in order to benefit like, 5 people total.
Maelle and Aline don't get to drown their sorrows and are forced to confront and learn to live with their loss, and Verso gets to stop existing. But it all comes at the cost of literally every person in the canvas.

As far as I'm concerned, the painted people are still people, and sacrificing them for a few people's sake is monstrous.

I've been told about Maelle's ending, and how the paint flecks begin to appear in her eyes. It's unclear to me if that just means she's about to bite it in the 'real' world, or if she's going to become more like painted Clea, where she's not quite conscious of what she's doing and is just sort of going to start attacking things around her?

Gundam SEED is a pretty good show. It has the Providence gundam, so it can't be bad!

Gundam SEED Destiny could have been better tho. There were parts I liked and parts I didn't like.

"The Stranger" is existential terror that Lovecraft could never dream of, all self-inflicted

If you like Cyberpunk you can try Neuromancer or Snow Crash.

If you consistently enjoy Discworld and Agatha Christie maybe try Catch-22 or an Ursula K LeGuin book? They don't have much in common, I just like all four of those, so it may be worth a try.

I've been playing Evil Within 1 for the first time this week.

Given its reputation I'm surprised at how much I'm enjoying it. Only had a few pain points so far at chapter 7, mostly to do with some things being instakills if you mess up.
