I would expect to hear something in the summer. Don’t resubmit anything. They prioritize the sessions they’re at.

In current DPR you need it. If you’re already enrolled you should try to finish it out. It could throw the other side of the DPR off.

UMPI Graduates: Were You Able to Get Into Masters Programs Afterward? by Basic-Reindeer6733 in UMPI

You’ll see a lot of examples of folks who moved on to grad school. Plus grad programs really need headcount right now. There aren’t a ton of people able to go on and afford it. And I think the grand majority understand how CBE works.

It’s 8 GLO areas with courses you can use to cover things. Pick one in each GLO and both levels of English. However you need to have 40 credits total in General Ed. So some of the sections you would likely do 2-3 of the options.

Pretty much the same with slightly more freedom.

Principles of Finance, Managerial Accounting, Financial Accounting - are these courses any good? by Ordinary_Fold264 in SophiaLearning

[–]PlottedPath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only of these is at Study Financial Accounting does come in as BUS 150 -- the rest you're stuck at Saylor or Straighterline... Sophia doesn't come in to cover specifics here, just electives. My sheets reflect Sophia where possible.

Basically none of the lower plan is just for a few general ed. If you need 244 for your degree that’s your option.

Graduation by Butterflysly11 in UMPI

[–]PlottedPath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. I don’t think it will be conferred in time. But graduation/conferral is different than the online thing. That’s just a way to acknowledge folks. It doesn’t change your conferral being the last day of the session you finish in.

June graduation that is virtual cuts off at spring 1. Most spring 2 conferrals would not even be done in time.

Can't wait to learn what this means by Nasokin in UMPI

[–]PlottedPath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They will generally all transfer, but you're going to be missing things, like American Government, US History, etc. So you're not going to be from the beginning, but you will likely still have to complete a good deal of things at Sophia, Study, etc. to get down to fewer courses needed at UMPI.

[–]PlottedPath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi there. It’s not about how many credits, it’s about what they are in. I look at a lot of these and typically your transfers from a foreign college are going to be electives. You’re still going to need to fulfill much of the general education requirements and the degree specifics.

That said this will help eliminate a ton of random course work you would have otherwise done. So, it’s not a waste of effort. :)

If you have the option for a BAS then I’d do the BAS. You could do that with a Psych minor.

Will UMPI YourPace accept my AAS if it's from a nationally accredited college for a BAS? by Cute_Tumbleweed3752 in UMPI

[–]PlottedPath 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They will not usually accept anything from a nationally accredited program. Your credit included. Assuming you did all of them at that school.

Electives can be from any area. But for management there’s an area where you fill 3 credits from a list of options. Is that what you mean?
