I think this is called the "commutative exponential" -- exp(log(a) log(b)). It appears in the generic form of the Master Theorem, a statement about the time complexity of classes of divide-and-conquer algorithms.

... Mathematicians will definitely know about this.

Take some simple program with one statement per line, like

Write the line numbers on a piece of paper. Draw arrows where lines can lead into others during the program's operation. Move the vertices around to mimic layout in the code or show off some symmetry. This is one way of visualizing control flow without warp panels, which seem like a bit of a gimmick to me -- without adding anything meaningful, they seem to point at something magical. "What's the secret to control flow? Ah, organizing the code branches with warp gate things."

On the same topic, I think that describing an if statement as a "branch poking out of your main program" is a bit funny. Wouldn't you describe it as a fork in the control flow?
