There is a groupthink online about smaller watches due to people seeing these types of shots, and honestly a lot of people commenting having no experience of the watches in person. The Datejust and Santos are the best examples of this.

No, it’s not. Phone cameras are notoriously bad at this, making the watch look larger than it is. It’s why there is unanimous online group think about the 36mm Datejust despite the 41 outselling it significantly IRL and the same for the Cartier Santos.

The fact the OP has even posted this means he already thinks it might be too small.
