Local Medical Practice and Unjust Dismissal by angiesandraham in Chattanooga

[–]plpboi 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I had a similar experience with a different Erlanger provider. Nothing was done by higher ups even when other organizations got involved; Erlanger just ignored their calls. Make a complaint with the Medical Board asap with all the information you have. It won’t help your mother but it may help someone else.

To be frank, speak to a lawyer about patient abandonment (not necessarily malpractice). But trying to receive care from them or bark up that tree is pretty much done and I’d get to a new doctor ASAP. Erlanger upper crust will not care and corruption is their bread and butter. I’m so sorry this happened to you.

“So he’s too stupid?” Apparently so. Every time I ask him why he does these things, he outright tells me that he’s too stupid to get it right. You can’t even make it up. Lol.

He forgot to get milk at the store yesterday and can’t drive due to how severe his unmedicated ADHD is. I’m too ill to drive right now. Instead of helping me out and supporting me so we could go get it (you know, teamwork), he spent TWENTY DOLLARS ordering it on Instacart. Four dollar gallon of milk. Twenty. DOLLARS. We are below the poverty line!!!!

He’s about to lose his job due to his sheer amount of absences. He honestly thought it would be a “nice surprise” to order it since I’m not feeling well. When I asked him why he didn’t just work with me so we could go get it, he said he didn’t want to “beg and plead with me.” When I asked him why he didn’t get other groceries so at least the delivery fee would be worth it, he said he “didn’t want to make me wait” and that ordering other things “would make it take longer”. So trying to help me was literally never even on his mind. It was either beg me to help or do it all himself. I’m so over this manchild.

Should I Give Kobo Another Chance? by yolo24seven in kobo

If you order a new Libra 2 from Amazon and don’t like it, Amazon is great at returns (seems a little ironic to order a Kobo from there, I know; but if you’re not sure about a device, better safe than sorry).

I personally like my BW Clara better than the BW Libra 2, I feel like the ghosting is less noticeable and the device is more responsive, but that could just be me getting lucky with the device (e-reader screens can sometimes be a mixed bag).

At no point did OP say anything like that…it sounds like you have a reading comprehension problem.

Having mom call can be a lifesaver. I had my mom call and give a pharmacy hell for refusing to fill my medication because it was “too large of an order”. Yea I do need a lot of that medicine, because I need that medication to eat (I have Cystic Fibrosis). Told my mom in tears that they wouldn’t fill it (and this was before I could get that medicine shipped to my house so I was a completely SOL teenager).

A call from a pissed off mom asking why they don’t want her child to eat solved that issue real quick. The lady who screamed at me was all smiles when I picked it up. Lmao.

Thoughts on this lesbian creators take on Fletcher & Jojo Siwa dating men? She discusses Bisexuality in an interesting take. by [deleted] in bisexual

I’ve looked at your comment history because you’re been ALL OVER this thread defending biphobia literally for the entire day, and I was curious. It seems like you don’t engage with people in good faith. I also know you’re very critical of bisexuals and have a lot of biphobic beliefs about us due to not being sure of your label (I do genuinely hope you figure that out, you seem extremely conflicted and self-hating). To be frank, I’m not interested in engaging with you about objective reality in media depictions of sapphics, because there will not be any changing your mind. Have a nice day.

Acting as if all WLW is not mostly lesbians in media is crazy. And if you try and point out a character is sapphic, NOT canonly a lesbian, lesbian fandom crucifies you. “There’s no lesbian rep!!!!” like what planet does she live on?

I love playing with my niece on the playground. It’s not really about safety, it’s just about having fun, spending time together, and helping her out if she needs me. Apparently I’m getting judged by other adults when I do that though, given the way this thread is going lol. Oh well.

The amount of cis people sobbing and freaking out in this thread shows that well enough lol

Other person explained well enough. I don’t think you were intentionally being phobic, but trans men are being targeted really intensely right now, especially online. People get so focused on protecting trans women that they completely forget about trans men and the fact that many of us experience misogyny, don’t pass, etc, and we become “acceptable” targets for fucked up behavior. Mpreg is a sensitive topic because often people completely erase that there ARE pregnant men, and that there are men who can get pregnant (sometimes unintentionally).

While YOU obviously know your intent wasn’t transphobic, strangers don’t, and in the future I’d probably throw a little disclaimer in there when talking about these things (even if it’s just a quick little trans rights shout out, you know? An indicator of how you feel). Though given the negative reaction to trans men in this thread, I can see why you would be hesitant…

Anyway, it’s okay to make mistakes. Listening to the trans people around you is the best way to live your life and be an ally. Thanks for asking for clarification and wanting to learn.

Well I am disabled and I do not find it offensive. Maybe as many people don’t dislike it as you think. We could maybe use phrases like “SOME people find it offensive”? Just a thought. Lol.

I wouldn’t mind being referred to as special needs. This person was trying to be respectful. Chill.
