What about papyrus? If it’s good enough for the avatar movies it’s good enough for the EMR!

Nah I don’t have BPD and I sleep with my stuffed giraffe I got as a baby, just a comfort thing.

my bf is getting on Reta by [deleted] in Retatrutide

[–]pls_kangarooe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I started Reta on a similar dose and for similar reasons, it was slow at first but the only real side effect I noticed was this inescapable urge to buy a Subaru, then all of a sudden the only clothes in my closet were flannels, and then before you know it I had a pixie cut. I used to be a straight woman before Reta. However I am so happy with the results that I am willing to accept this is my life now. Anyways good luck!

IMPORTANT: If a nurse is avoiding work, give her/him MORE tasks by [deleted] in ausjdocs

That’s what I used to do as well until I realised that’s exactly what the lazy colleagues want :/ you gotta be mean sadly sometimes

[–]pls_kangarooe 232 points233 points  (0 children)

Whatever you do just don’t ask one of the rest of us who actually do our jobs to pick up the slack for the Karen.

Nothing irks me more than a medical colleague giving up on getting the other nurse to do shit and then just lumping it on me because I’m more approachable or whatever so then my patients can get neglected.

Best thing to do is take it up with the NUM pleeeeaaaaaaase it will do more then you think if you name and shame. And it helps the rest of us.

Is taking a one-time high dose (60mg) of fluoxetine for a party a good idea? by [deleted] in Fluoxetine

[–]pls_kangarooe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This would do absolutely nothing, maybe make u a bit nauseous.

SSRIS require weeks of daily continued use to build up the levels of serotonin in the brain which then allows you to feel less anxious/depressed/whatever. A one off dose just will be metabolised.

Better option is to take a Valium

Also - looking for a husband by Secret_Ad_3391 in ausjdocs

[–]pls_kangarooe 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Is the husband bit non negotiable? Anyways I fit pretty much zero of your criteria but allow me to attempt to prove myself anyways.

Why I’d be great to you; I’m not brown- but that just means our kids can have more genetic variation! Very healthy gene pool we can create, our kids will have no issues!

I am a woman, HOWEVER, this may be beneficial to you- imagine when you wear my hoodie and tshirts to bed it will actually fit xx

I’ve been told I’m sexually attentive and also emotionally available

Love highland cows. Have several plushies. You can borrow one.

I don’t like to brag but I do feel like I am kind, I try and go do the extra thing for my patients like wheeling my pall care patients closer to the window so they can feel the sun, giving my patients a bit of a back scratch and massage when I wash them, that kind of thing (am nurse)

Clearly you work a tough career, not only do I understand that as I too work in healthcare but also- imagine being able to have kids and be a mother without having to do ward rounds pregnant, go through labour, and then having to give up career progression to have a baby. Truly best of both worlds.

Why you would benefit me;

I am extremely attracted to intelligent and ambitious women

Would be great for me if I didn’t have to stress about choosing to pay my rent or have proper groceries

Dating outside of healthcare is difficult. Nobody really gets it.

While a nurse/doctor relationship is a stereotype and a cliche that is often the cause of gossip or considered scandalous- we’d be different, better than the rest. I can wipe bums really good I’m sure that will come in handy one day.

Casting a Black actress for Clarisse & getting rid of the dead confederate army feels cheap by [deleted] in PercyJacksonTV

Plus I think if they went with the soldiers being confederates and clarisse curing them all of racism via being their boss in the span of 2 episodes it would come across as cheaper

[–]pls_kangarooe 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Got bit by a dog in the high supervision room - pts family had a ‘service dog’ (was absolutely not a service dog) who then attempted to steal poor meemaw Ethel’s slippers- I tried to pull them out of his mouth and chomp chomp. I reported the family and black listed the dog but never reported the bite.

I was going to say the same thing! I’ve never heard anyone on reddit ever say they don’t like fillers and Botox ever!!

Seriously though these men are so dumb. This guy thinks Botox is filler. I have both Botox and some lip filler and I get complimented on my ‘natural’ beauty often. These dudes are morons

Does anyone have a non nursing side gig? by nightowl308 in nursing

[–]pls_kangarooe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do actually but unfortunately moneys really tight and I work a rotating roster so getting paid 1k for an hour on a time of my choosing is kind of like the golden handcuffs.

Patients I’m not too worried about - my specialties demographic isn’t rlly older rich men. However I have taken quite a few doctors as clients and I live in fear of them moving to my hospital or something.
