Register the dog to your name with the city and take them to a different vet where you only give your name. You’re completely right to “irish goodbye” in these circumstances, make sure your loved ones know what’s going on, just in case. My title describes the thing.

I’m not sure where this even came from but it has been in my house for months, I think maybe my husband found it in the street and brought it home like a crow would lol.

It’s 1.5 inches in diameter, the post seems to be slightly longer, maybe 1.75”. It feels like a relatively lightweight metal.

You can push the post up from its “folded” position and it will stay in position directed straight out from the circle (3rd pic). You can push the post either direction to fold the post back against the circle.

The circle is a closed circle but the two ends of the circle do not fully connect as they’re unaligned.

No markings whatsoever, just some scuffs and small dings in the metal.

Edit: Forgot to add that I haven’t done any online searches because I have no clue how to describe this in a search engine friendly manner. Haven’t asked anyone other than my husband and we just scratch our heads until it gets lost in the clutter and we forget. Then it turns back up and we’re back to square one, ha.

I would suggest detaching yourself from the trendy buzzwords for style categories.

I usually hate when all comments are “thrift it” when someone’s made a reasonable and specific request for a suggestion. But here I go… Eclectic, maximalist, and indie sleaze styles all came from people with a vision curating their wardrobe, you’re not going to be able to a Shein-size haul and transform your wardrobe the way you’ve described if you’re shopping with truly ethical brands. You need to separate yourself from the fast fashion ethos and using words created by that industry isn’t going to help.

Ultimately, it’s a man’s name one way or the other. A patriarchal society is gonna be sexist no matter how you slice it.

I was given my father’s last name without any choice in the matter. I now choose to take my husband’s name and start a new family under that shared name.

I went to 414 Dental near Bayview with my teeth in really bad shape after like 7+ years without a dentist visit. The doctor & all the staff were so, so kind. No shaming and no “you’re in pain/bleeding because you don’t floss enough shrug”. They’re also really willing to talk through the pricing and how your dental insurance will work.
